Choi Jin-Hyuk cast in OCN drama series “Rugal”

Choi Jin-Hyuk is cast for the lead role in OCN drama series “Rugal.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Rugal” by Rilmae and directed by Kang Cheol-Woo (“Cheo Yong 2: The Paranormal Detective“). The drama series, fitting in with OCN’s style, follows the special team “Rugal” formed by the NIS to take down crime organizations. Choi Jin-Hyuk will play Kang Ki-Beom. He is a member of Rugal and experienced horrific crimes done to him and his family by a crime gang.

“Rugal” will first air in the first half of 2020 in South Korea.

Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min & Shim Eun-Kyung cast in tvN drama series “Money Game”

Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min and Shim Eun-Kyung are cast in tvN drama series “Money Game.” The drama series is set in the government-financial world, as South Korea faces a possible financial crisis like in 1997. Ko Soo will play Chae Yi-Hun. He works as a chief at the Economic Policy Bureau of the Financial Services Commission. Lee Sung-Min will play Heo Jae. He is the chairman at the Financial Services Commission. Lastly, Shim Eun-Kyung will play Lee Hye-Joon. She is a new employee at the International Finance Bureau of Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Filming for “Money Game” will begin later this year and the drama series will air sometime in the first half of 2020 in South Korea.

Lee Byung-Hun, Han Ji-Min, Shin Min-A, Bae Sung-Woo, Nam Joo-Hyuk all cast in new drama series “Here”

Lee Byung-Hun, Han Ji-Min, Shin Min-A, Bae Sung-Woo & Nam Joo-Hyuk all cast in new drama series “Here” (working title). Filming for the drama series will begin sometime in 2020. The drama series is scripted by No Hee-Kyung who has scripted such drama series as “Worlds Within……” and “That Winter, The Wind Blows.” Han Ji-Min and Bae Sung-Woo have previously worked with No Hee-Kyung in drama series “Padam Padam” (Han Ji-Min) and “Live” (Bae Sung-Woo). Air date or network that will air the drama series has not yet been decided.

Teaser trailer #3 added for SBS drama series “VIP” starring Jang Na-Ra and Lee Sang-Yoon. Teaser trailer #3 has captions in Korean that appear around the 14 second mark that states “The truth I do not want to believe the most of the person who I want to trust the most.” Meanwhile, below are still images of Lee Sang-Yoon in the drama series. He plays Park Sung-Joon. His character works as the team leader of a VIP customer service group for a high end department store.

First script reading for MBC drama series “People with Flaws”

First script reading for MBC drama series “People with Flaws” (literal title), starring Ahn Jae-Hyeon & Oh Yeon-Seo, took place recently in South Korea. The first script reading had main cast members Ahn Jae-Hyeon, Oh Yeon-Seo, Kim Seul-Gi, Gu Won, Heo Jeong-Min, Hwang Woo Seul Hye, Min Wook-Hyuk, Shin Do-Hyun, Kim Jae-Yong (Halo) & Joo Hae-Eun all in attendance. The drama series depicts a love story between Lee Kang-Woo (Ahn Jae-Hyeon) and Joo Seo-Yeon (Oh Yeon-Seo).  Lee Kang-Woo has an obsession with a beautiful appearance, while Joo Soo-Yeon does not like handsome men.

“People with Flaws” first airs November, 2019 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 9PM time slot after “Extraordinary You“).

Teaser trailer #4 added for tvN drama series “Catch The Ghost” starring Moon Geun-Young and Kim Sun-Ho. Meanwhile, below are the first still images of Kim Sun-Ho and Moon Geun-Young in the drama series. Kim Sun-Ho plays Ko Ji-Seok. He is the chief of the subway police team, but he is timid and cautious. Moon Geun-Young plays Yoo Ryung. She is a rookie detective and a new member of the subway police team.

Ryu Deok-Hwan cast in SBS drama series “No One Knows”

Ryu Deok-Hwan is cast for the led male role in SBS drama series “No One Knows” (literal title) co-starring Kim Seo-Hyung. For the drama series, Ryo Deok-Hwan will play Lee Sun-Woo. His character works as a science teacher at a middle school. He gets involved in a serial murderer case with Detective Cha Young-Jin (played by Kim Seo-Hyung).

“No One Knows” first airs sometime during the first half of next year in South Korea.

First two teaser trailers for JTBC drama series “Chief of Staff 2”

First two teaser trailers added for JTBC drama series “Chief of Staff 2” starring Lee Jung-Jae and Shin Min-A. The drama series is a sequel to JTBC’s “Chief of Staff” which aired earlier this year. Set to return and reprise their respective character’s from season 1 are Lee Jung-Jae, Shin Min-A, Lee Elijah, Kim Dong-Joon, Kim Kap-Soo and Jung Woong-In. Also cast to play new characters are Jeong Man-Sik, Park Hyo-Joo and Jo Bok-Rae. Teaser trailer #1 briefly introduces all 8 of these actors and teaser trailer #2 focuses on Lee Jung-Jae as Jang Tae-Joon. In season 2, Jang Tae-Joon (Lee Jung-Jae) returns as a lawmaker.
