Fumi Nikaido & Ryo Yoshizawa are cast in live-action film “River’s Edge.” The film is based on manga series “River’s Edge” by Kyoko Okazaki (“Helter Skelter“) and directed by Isao Yukisada.

Trailer for movie “Laughing Lucky Cats” (“Warau Manekineko”) starring Fumika Shimizu & Rena Matsui. Movie is based on 2004 novel “Warau Manekineko” by Yukihisa Yamamoto and directed by Ken Iizuka. Story for the film follows two women who struggle to make it as a comedy duo.

Sho Sakurai (‘Arashi’), Suzu Hirose and Sota Fukushi are cast in new movie “Laplace’s Witch” (literal title). The film is based on Keigo Higashino‘s 80th novel “Rapurasu no Majo” and directed by Takashi Miike. The upcoming film is setup as a science mystery with two poisoning deaths taking place near two different hot springs in Japan. Professor & geochemist Shusuke Aoe is tasked to find out whether the deaths occurred naturally or were murders. Suzu Hirose will play Madoka Uhara. She appears when Shusuke Aoe examines the cases. Sota Fukushi will play Kento Amakasu. He is a mysterious young man who went missing and connected with Madoka Uhara.
“Laplace’s Witch” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Noritake Kinashi & Takeru Satoh are cast in live-action film “Inuyashiki.” The live-action film is based on manga series “Inuyashiki” by Hiroya Oku and directed by Shinsuke Sato. Story for “Inuyashiki” follows elderly man Ichiro (Noritake Kinashi) as he becomes involved in a mysterious explosion. He wakes up with cyborg like powers. Meanwhile, teenager Hiro (Takeru Satoh) was also involved in the same explosion and gains similar powers. Ichiro decides to help others in need, while Hiro decides to kill those he doesn’t like.
Also cast in supporting roles are Kanata Hongo (Hiro’s childhood friend), Fumi Nikaido (high school student that likes Hiro), Ayaka Miyoshi (daughter of Ichiro), Nayuta Fukuzaki (son of Ichiro), Mari Hamada (wife of Ichiro), Yuki Saito (mother of Hiro) and Yusuke Iseya (detective who chases Hiro).
“Inuyashiki” will be released next year in Japan.

Movie is based on 1962 novel “Utsukushii Hoshi” by Yukio Mishima and directed by Daihachi Yoshida. Story for “A Beautiful Star” follows a seemingly ordinary family as they begin to believe they are aliens … and they set out to save humankind.
