Teaser trailer #2 for tvN drama series “Live”

Teaser trailer #2 for tvN drama series “Live” starring Jung Yu-Mi and Lee Kwang-Soo. The voice-over in teaser 2 has a man asking “Where you stand is always irrational and unfair. Don’t move, not even one step. Can you take it?” Jung Yu-Mi responds with “I will stand to the end viciously. Poor, but fierce life record.” The drama series follows a group of police officers.

“Live” first airs March 10, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for tvN drama series “Live”

First teaser trailer for tvN drama series “Live” starring Jung Yu-Mi and Lee Kwang-Soo. The drama series also features director Kim Kyu-Tae and screenwriter No Hee-Kyung. The duo have previously worked together on drama series “Worlds Within……,” “Padam Padam… The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats,” “That Winter, The Wind Blows” and “It’s Ok, This is Love.”

Meanwhile photos above and below are from the traditional Buddhist gosa ceremony that takes place prior to filming.  The ceremony was held on January 28, 2018 in Paju, South Korea.

Ep.1 of “Live” is now set to air March 10, 2018 (takes over tVN’s Saturday and Sunday 9PM time slot after “A Korean Odyssey.”).

Baek Jin-Hee offered lead female role in tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3”

Baek Jin-Hee has been offered the lead female role in upcoming tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3.” Currently, Baek Jin-Hee is “positively considering” the offer. Yoon Doo-Joon (‘Highlight’) has already received an offer to play the lead male role and he is also positively considering his offer.  Yoon Doo-Joon appeared in both 2013 tvN drama series “Let’s Eat” and 2015 tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 2” and he would reprise the character of Koo Dae-Young if he accepts. Baek Jin-Hee will play a new female character if she accepts. Lee Soo-Kyung played the lead female character in “Let’s Eat,” while Seo Hyun-Jin played a different lead female character in “Let’s Eat 2.”

Exact air date for “Let’s Eat 3” has yet to be decided.

First script reading for tvN drama series “A Poem A Day”

First script reading for tvN drama series “A Poem A Day” took place recently in Sangam, South Korea.The drama series stars Lee Yoo-Bi, Lee Joon-Hyuk and Jang Dong-Yoon, who all attended the first script reading. Prior to the start of the first script reading Lee Yoo-Bi spoke and stated that “I like the drama series when I heard the title. I think that its interesting to depict people who work hard in the medical field, but are not doctors.”

“A Poem A Day” first airs March, 2018 in South Korea (airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30 PM after “Cross“).

Trailer for tvN drama special “The Woman Who Makes the Last Meal”

Trailer for upcoming tvN drama special “The Woman Who Makes the Last Meal” starring Cho Yeo-Jeong and Ha-Joon. The drama special is the 10th installment in tvN Drama Stage series. Story for the drama special, Cho Yeo-Jeong plays Choi Soo-A. She makes last meals for death row inmates. Ha-Joon plays death row inmate Kang Min-Joong. He has a mental illness and is unaware of his fate.

Seo In-Guk offered lead role in tvN drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky”

Seo In-Guk has been offered a lead role in tvN remake drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky” (literal title). The drama series is a remake of 2002 Fuji TV drama series “Hundred Million Stars From the Sky” starring Takuya Kimura and scripted by Eriko Kitagawa. If Seo In-Guk accepts, he will team up with drama series director Yoo Je-Won for the second time. They previously worked together in 2014 tvN drama series “High School King of Savvy.” For Seo In-Guk this is also his first acting offer since being discharged early from the military due to a health issue.

Trailer for tvN drama special “Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste”

Trailer added for upcoming tvN drama special “Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste” (literal title) starring Myung Se-Bin, Lee Chun-Hee and Yoo Eun-Mi. The drama special is the 8th installment in tvN’s Drama Stage. Story for “Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste” follows a former popular songwriter (Myung Se-Bin), now recluse due to a scandal, and her young daughter (Yoo Eun-Mi). The mother takes a job at a restaurant run by Ki-Bok (Lee Chun-Hee).

“Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste” will air January 20, 2018 in South Korea.

tvN to air “My Mister” from March 21, 2018

tvN has announced that drama series “My Mister,” starring Lee Sun-Kyun and IU, will first air March 21, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series will air Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9PM following the conclusion of drama series “Mother.” In the drama series “My Mister,” Lee Sun-Kyun will play Park Dong-Hoon. He is in his 40’s and works as an architect. IU will play Lee Ji-An. She begins work at the same architect firm as Park Dong-Hoon, but as a temp employee.

Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day”

Lee Joon-Hyuk & Jang Dong-Yoon are cast in tvN drama series “A Poem A Day” co-starring Lee Yoo-Bi. For the medical themed drama series, Lee Joon-Hyuk will play Ye Je-Wook. He works as a physical therapist. He likes to speak efficiently with an expressionless face and he also keeps people at a distance due to a painful past.

Jang Dong-Yoon will play Shin Min-Ho. He and Woo Bo-Young (Lee Yoo-Bi) studied physical therapy together at the same school. Woo Bo-Young had a secret crush on him back then. Now Shin Min-Ho begins training at the same hospital where Woo Bo-Young works. Actor Gong Myung was first offered the role of Shin Min-Ho, but he declined.

In addition, Shin Jae-Ha is cast to play supporting character Kim Nam-Woo. He is a friend of Shin Min-Ho.

“A Poem A Day” will first air late March, 2018 (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “Cross.”).

3 teaser trailers added for upcoming tvN drama special “Not Played” starring Won Mi-Kyung, Lee Hee-Joon and Myung Gye-Nam. The drama special is the 7th installment in tvN’s “Drama Stage” series to discover talented new storytellers.  Story for “Not Played” follows an older woman (Won Mi-Kyung) who picks up a cleaning job at billiard hall. The woman it seems has an undiscovered talent for shooting pool.
