IU is cast in movie “Dream” (working title) co-starring Park Seo-Joon. The film is directed by Lee Byeong-Hun (“Be Melodramatic“/”Extreme Job“). For the film, IU wil play PD Lee So-Min from a broadcasting station. She works on a documentary about a special national soccer team coached by Yoon Hong-Dae (Park Seo-Joon). The players on the soccer team consists of homeless people.
“Dream” will be released sometime later this year in South Korea.

First script reading for JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class,” starring Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi, Yoo Jae-Myung, and Kwon Na-Ra, took place August, 2019 at JTBC Building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading were led director Kim Sung-Yoon and screenwriter Jo Gwang-Jin. Main cast members that attended the first script reading included Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi, Yoo Jae-Myung, Kwon Na-Ra, Kim Dong-Hee, Ahn Bo-Hyun, Kim Hye-Eun, Ryoo Kyung-Soo, and Lee Joo-Young. The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin (he also writes the screenplay adaptation). For Park Seo-Joon, he stated at the first script reading “Now, I can feel that the drama series is beginning with the first script reading practice. I am fluttering. With this fluttering mind, I will be at my best while shooting.”

Park Seo-Joon is cast for the lead male role in movie “Dream” (working title). The film will be directed by Lee Byeong-Hun. Lee Byeong-Hun has directed box-office hit film “Extreme Job” and JTBC drama series “Be Melodramatic” so far this year. In the film “Dream,” Park Seo-Joon will play soccer player Yoon Hong-Dae. He becomes the coach of a special homeless soccer team who will compete in the Homeless World Cup. For those curious, there actually is a real Homeless World Cup tournament and the next one is scheduled to take place 2020 in Finland.
Filming for “Dream” will begin next year.
Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi and Yoo Jae-Myung are cast in JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin. For the drama series, Park Seo-Joon will play main character Park Sae-Ro-Yi. After serving prison time for beating someone who caused his father’s death, he vows to destroy that person and that person’s father. Kim Da-Mi will play Jo Yi-Seo. She begins working as the manager for a restaurant in Itaewon that Park Sae-Ro-Yi runs. Yoo Jae-Myung will play villain Jang Dae-Hee. He is the CEO of a food company and is hated by Park Sae-Ro-Yi. “Itaewon Class” is also the drama series produced by movie distributor Showbox.
“Itaewon Class” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Friday & Saturday 11 PM time slot after “Chocolate.”).
