Ai Hashimoto is cast in NTV drama series “Colleagues’ Sakura” (literal title) starring Mitsuki Takahata. In the drama series, Ai Hashimoto will play supporting character Yuri Tsukimura. Both titles follow 2016 NTV drama series “Criminologist Himura and Mystery Writer Arisugawa” and they are based on 1992 novel “Himura Hideo Series” by Arisu Arisugawa. For the drama special, Takumi Saito will reprise his role of criminologist Hideo Himura and Masataka Kubota will reprise his role of mystery writer Arisu Arisugawa.

Kento Kaku is cast in new NTV drama series “Nippon Noir: Detective Y’s Rebellion” (literal title). The drama series features an original screenplay by Shogo Muto (“Mr. Hiiragi’s Homeroom“) and directed by Ryuichi Inomata (“I’m Mita, Your Housekeeper“). In the drama series, Kento Kaku plays Detective Kiyoharu Yusa. He wakes up in the forest and soon realizes he is a murder suspect.

Toma Ikuta is cast in NTV drama series “My Story is Long” (literal title). The drama series features an original screenplay by Shigeki Kaneko (“The Kitazawas: We Mind Our Own Business“) and directed by Satoru Nakajima (“The Kitazawas: We Mind Our Own Business“). Toma Ikuta and screenwriter Shigeki Kaneko previously worked together in 2008 Fuji TV drama series “Honey & Clover” and 2009 Fuji TV drama series “Voice.” For drama series “My Story is Long,” Toma Ikuta will play 31-year-old Mitsuru Kishibe. He is unemployed and comfortably lives with his mother at her home. Things change for him when his older sister and her family temporarily move back to her mother’s home.
“My Story is Long” will first air October, 2019 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Saturday 10 PM time slot after “Voice“).
Eiko Koike, Ryo and Rei Okamoto are cast in NTV-YTV drama series “I Shared My Husband.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Kosuke Nishi (“Mozu“) and directed by Hiroaki Yuasa & Yusuke Taki. In the drama series, Eiko Koike will play main character Harumi Morishita. She learns that her husband has passed away and that her husband has two other wives played by Ryo and Rei Okamoto.
“I Shared My Husband” first airs July 4, 2019 (takes over NTV-YTV’s Thursday 23:59 time slot after “My Family Goes Viral“).
Toshiaki Karasawa and Yoko Maki are cast in NTV drama series “Voice: 110 Emergency Control Room” (literal title). The drama series is a remake of 2017 OCN drama series “Voice” with Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha-Na in the lead roles. Taro Otani & Mitsuru Kubota will direct the drama series and the series will be scripted by Hideya Hamada.
For the NTV drama series version, Yoko Maki will play Hikari Tachibana. She has a special hearing ability and she uses that talent while working in the 110 emergency phone call center. Toshiaki Karasawa will play Detective Shogo Higuchi. They work together to save people.

Ryosuke Yamada is cast in NTV drama special “The Kitazawas Summer 2019.” The drama special follows 2018 NTV drama series “The Kitazawas: We Mind Our Own Business” and Ryosuke Yamada will reprise his role as youngest son Shusaku Kitazawa. Also set to reprise their respective roles are Haru as brainy sibling Chiaki Kitazawa and Yukiyoshi Ozawa as oldest singling brain surgeon Hirofumi Kitazawa. Nozomu Kotaki, Yuri Tsunematsu, Kazuya Kojima, Yudai Chiba, Kazuyuki Asano and Baijaku Nakamura will also reprise their respective character in the drama special.

Anne Watanabe is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Disguised Adultery” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Gisou Furin” by Akiko Higashimura (“Princess Jellyfish“/”Tokyo Tarareba Girls“). The drama series has Anne Watanabe playing 32-year-old single woman Shoko Hama. She meets a younger man on a trip and lies to him that she is married. He proposes to her to have an affair.

Teaser poster and supporting cast added for upcoming NTV drama series “Don’t Fight With Fools Even When You Get Pissed Off ” (literal title) starring Yuri Chinen. Now cast in supporting roles for the drama series are Satoshi Jinbo, Yumi Wakatsuki (former member of ‘Nogizaka46’), Ryuta Sato, Katsuhisa Namase, Megu Aoyama, Tomoharu Hasegawa, Kento Shibuya and Kae Okumura. The drama series is based on self-help book “Atama ni Kitemo Aho towa Tatakauna” by Kotaro Tamura and follows a young man who begins to work at a toy company.
