Ep.1 air date & first script reading for tvN drama series “Money Game”

Ep.1 air date for tvN drama series “Money Game,” starring Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min, & Shim Eun-Kyung, is now set for January, 2020. The drama series will slot into tvN’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30PM time slot after “Psychopath Diary.” Meanwhile, announcement of the first script reading was released today, which took place several months ago. Attending the first script reading were main cast members Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min, Shim Eun-Kyung, Yoo Teo, Jeong Dong-Hwan, Choi Woong, Choi Byung-Mo, Bang Eun-Hee, Jo Jae-Ryong, Kim Jung-Pal, Choi Duk-Moon, and Oh Ryong.

Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min & Shim Eun-Kyung cast in tvN drama series “Money Game”

Ko Soo, Lee Sung-Min and Shim Eun-Kyung are cast in tvN drama series “Money Game.” The drama series is set in the government-financial world, as South Korea faces a possible financial crisis like in 1997. Ko Soo will play Chae Yi-Hun. He works as a chief at the Economic Policy Bureau of the Financial Services Commission. Lee Sung-Min will play Heo Jae. He is the chairman at the Financial Services Commission. Lastly, Shim Eun-Kyung will play Lee Hye-Joon. She is a new employee at the International Finance Bureau of Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Filming for “Money Game” will begin later this year and the drama series will air sometime in the first half of 2020 in South Korea.

Lee Sung-Min & Nam Joo-Hyuk cast in movie “Remember”

Lee Sung-Min & Nam Joo-Hyuk cast in revenge film “Remember.” The film will be the second feature film directed by Lee Il-Hyeong after 2016 film “A Violent Prosecutor.” In the movie “Remember,” Lee Sung-Min will play a man his 80’s. He goes after the man that caused him so much pain when Korea was under Japanese occupation. Nam Joo-Hyuk will play a man who helps the old man in his revenge plan. Filming for “Remember” is scheduled to begin February, 2020 in South Korea.

Lee Chang-Dong‘s “Burning” won the “Best Film” award, while Jang Joon-Hwan received the “Best Director” award for “1987: When The Day Comes.” Hwang Jung-Min & Lee Sung-Min split the “Best Actor” award for their roles in “The Spy Gone North” and Na Moon-Hee won the “Best Actress” award for “I Can Speak.”

Here’s two teaser posters for movie “The Spy Gone North” starring Hwang Jung-Min, Lee Sung-Min, Cho Jin-Woong and Ju Ji-Hoon. The period spy thriller recently had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings section. Movie is the fifth film directed by Yoon Jong-Bin (“Nameless Gangster: Rules of The Time“). The caption on the posters states ” “1997, The spy who went to North Korea.”

“The Spy Gone North” opens August 8, 2018 in South Korea.
