First teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “The Killer’s Shopping List” starring Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, & Jin Hee-Kyung. Narration in the teaser trailer states at the 11 second mark “Please throw away the receipt.” The drama series features a crime-mystery-comedy screenplay with Lee Kwang-Soo playing Ahn Dae-Sung and Seol Hyun playing his police officer girlfriend.

First script reading for tvN drama “The Killer’s Shopping List”

First script reading for tvN drama series “The Killer’s Shopping List,” starring Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, & Jin Hee-Kyung, took place November, 2021 in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading included Director Lee Eon-Hee, Screenwriter Han Ji-Wan, and main cast members including Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, Jin Hee-Kyung, Shin Sung-Woo, Jang Won-Young, Kim Mi-Hwa, Bae Myung-Jin, and Oh Hye-Won. Right after the first script reading ended, Lee Kwang-Soo stated “It’s a new drama series that I haven’t seen before, so I’m personally looking forward to it” and Seol Hyun stated “I’m excited and will have fun filming. We actors and actresses are having good chemistry, atmosphere and energy. I hope these things are conveyed well through the drama series.” Director Lee Eon has up to this point directed such popular films as (2003) “…ing,” (2007) “Love Exposure,” (2016) “Missing,” and (2018) “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action.”

“The Killer’s Shopping List” is now set to first air April, 2022 in South Korea.

Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, & Jin Hee-Kyung cast in tvN drama “The Murderer’s Shopping List”

Lee Kwang-SooSeol Hyun, and Jin Hee-Kyung are cast in new tvN drama series “The Murderer’s Shopping List” (literal title). The drama series is a mystery-comedy involving a murder case that takes nearby a grocery store. Jin Hee-Kyung plays Jung Myung-Sook, who owns the grocery store. Lee Kwang-Soo will play Ahn Dae-Sung, who is Jung Myung-Sook’s son and part-time worker at the grocery store. Seol Hyun will play Do A-Hee. She is a police officer and girlfriend of Ahn Dae-Sung.

“The Murderer’s Shopping List” will air sometime in the first half of 2022 in South Korea.

Main cast for movie “Happy New Year”

Main cast announced for ensemble film “Happy New Year” directed by Kwak Jae-Young (“My Sassy Girl“). The impressive lineup of performers that will play employees and guests at a hotel during New Year’s are Han Ji-Min, Lee Dong-Wook, Kang Ha-Neul, Yoona, Won Jin-A, Seo Kang-Joon, Lee Kwang-Soo, Kim Young-Kwang, Ko Sung-Hee, Lee Jin-Wook, Lee Kyu-Hyung, Jo Joon-Young, Won Ji-An, Lee Hye-Young & Jung Jin-Young.

Filming for “Happy New Year” began April 19, 2021. The movie is planned for release in South Korean theaters and via online streaming platform Tving, but release date has not yet been decided. Movie is distributed CJ Entertainment, who are partial owners in Tving.

Kang Ha-Neul & Han Hyo-Joo cast in movie “The Pirates 2”

Kang Ha-Neul and Han Hyo-Joo are cast for lead roles in sequel film “The Pirates 2.” Also cast in the film are Kwon Sang-Woo, Lee Kwang-Soo, Chae Soo-Bin, and Sehun. The film is a sequel to 2014 film “The Pirates” which starred Kim Nam-Gil and Son Ye-Jin in the lead roles. Filming for “The Pirates 2” will begin July, 2020. The film will be directed by Kim Jung-Hoon (“The Accidental Detective“) and scripted by Chun Sung-Il, who wrote the screenplay for 2014 film “The Pirates.”

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: A search takes place over the ocean to find the lost treasure of the Goryeo royal family, which disappeared without trace.

Woo Moo-Chi (Kang Ha-Neul) was once a leader of a group of bandits, but he now stays on a pirate ship with his right-hand man Kang-Seob (Kim Sung-Oh). Hae-Rang (Han Hyo-Joo) is the leader of pirates on the pirate ship. She has Mak-Yi (Lee Kwang-Soo), So-Nyeo (Chae Soo-Bin) and Han-Goong (Sehun) and Akwi (Park Ji-Hwan).

The pirates find themselves up against Bu Heung-Soo (Kwon Sang-Woo) to recover the lost treasure.

Cha Seung-Won, Kim Sung-Kyun & Lee Kwang-Soo cast in movie “Sinkhole”

Cha Seung-Won, Kim Sung-Kyun and Lee Kwang-Soo are cast in disaster-comedy film “Sinkhole” (working title). The film will be directed by Kim Ji-Hoon (“Sector 7“/”The Tower“). The film will follow residents who become trapped after a sinkhole occurs. Cha Seung-Won will play villa owner Jung Man-Soo. Kim Sung-Kyun and Lee Kwang-Soo will play co-workers Park Dong-Won and Kim Seung-Hyun. They become trapped in a home owned by Park Dong-Won. Filming for the movie will begin August, 2019 in South Korea.

“Sinkhole” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
