Park Bo-Young cast in Disney+ drama “Gold Land”

Park Bo-Young is cast for the lead role in Disney+ drama series “Gold Land.” Cast alongside Park Bo-Young are Lee Hyun-Wook, Kim Sung-Cheol, Kim Hee-Won, Moon Jeong-Hee, and Lee Kwang-Soo. Drama series is scripted by Hwang Jo-Yoon and directed by Kim Sung-Hoon. Screenwriter Hwang Jo-Yoon and Director Kim Sung-Hoon previously worked together in 2017 movie “Confidential Assignment.” Story for “Gold Land” will have Park Bo-Young play airport security screener Kim Hee-Ju. Due to her co-pilot boyfriend Lee Do-Kyeong (Lee Hyun-Wook), she accidentally receives gold that belongs to a smuggling organization.

“Gold Land” will be released sometime next year on Disney+.

General trailer released for upcoming tvN drama series “The Divorce Insurance” starring Lee Dong-Wook, Lee Joo-Bin, Lee Kwang-Soo, & Lee Da-Hee. The drama series revolves around an insurance team, led by No Ki-Jun played by Lee Dong-Wook, that sells divorce insurance. With that said, the general trailer begins with Lee Dong-Wook stating “Is there such an insurance for a happy remaining life? Let’s make a divorce insurance so that you can accept your fate and love, even if an unexpected divorce suddenly appears in your life!” Captions in the trailer states (0:03) “An insurance that never existed in the world!,” (0:12) “Those who sell special insurance are here.”

Cho Jin-Woong cast in drama “No Way Out”

Actor Cho Jin-Woong is cast in drama series “No Way Out” co-starring Yoo Jae-Myung, Kim Moo-Yul, & Lee Kwang-Soo. Cho Jin-Woong replaces actor  Lee Sun-Kyun, who dropped out of the drama series in late October due to a widely publicized drug scandal. Filming for the drama series began prior to Lee Sun-Kyun’s departure, but he did not film any scenes and production halted while his replacement was sought. With Cho Jin-Woong now cast as main character Baek Joong-Sik, filming will restart November 23, 2023.

Lead cast announced for Netflix drama “Karma”

Park Hae-Soo, Shin Min-A, Lee Hee-Jun, Kim Sung-Kyun, Lee Kwang-Soo, & Gong Seung-Yeon are cast in Netflix drama series “Karma” (working title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Akyeon” by Choi Hee-Sun and directed by Lee Il-Hyeong (“A Violent Prosecutor“). The story for “Karma” will revolve around 6 people who become entangled and unable to escape, Park Hee-Soo plays the central character who witnesses an accident and makes a deal.

“Karma” will be available to stream sometime next year.

Lee Sun-Kyun drops out of drama “No Way Out”

Actor Lee Sun-Kyun has dropped out of upcoming drama series “No Way Out” due to his involvement in a drug investigation by the Incheon Police. The drama series “No Way Out” co-stars Yoo Jae-Myung, Kim Moo-Yul, & Lee Kwang-Soo and is scripted by Lee Su-Jin (“Han Gong-Ju“). Lee Sun-Kyun is currently involved in a drug investigation by the The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency. His name came up while the police investigated the use of drugs at Gangnam area host bars. Lee Sun-Kyung also filed a report with the Incheon Police last week that he was being blackmailed by suspects in the drug investigation. Meanwhile, filming for “No Way Out” began October 16, 2023 and the Incheon Police revealed their drug investigation on October 18, 2023. Lee Sun-Kyun did not film any scenes for the drama series prior to his departure as he was scheduled to begin filming on October 21, 2023. A two week hiatus is to take place for the filming of the drama series while the production team seeks to find a replacement for Lee Sun-Kyun.

Lee Sun-Kyun and Yoo Jae-Myung are cast for lead roles in mystery-thriller drama series “No Way Out.” Also cast for major supporting character roles are Kim Moo-Yul & Lee Kwang-Soo. Premise for the drama series revolves around the release notorious criminal & murderer Kim Kook-Ho played by Yoo Jae-Myung. A public 20 billion won bounty is offered for his killing. Lee Sun-Kyun will play Detective Baek Joong-Sik.

Filming for “No Way Out” begins October, 2023, but release date or broadcast network has not yet been decided.
