Main trailer for movie “The Scythian Lamb” starring Ryo Nishikido, Fumino Kimura and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on manga “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida. Story for the film is set in a quiet seaside town. A city hall employee played by Ryo Nishikido is ordered to greet 6 new residents to the town. What he doesn’t know yet are all 6 of the new residents are part of a new Japanese program to help reform prisoners and they have all committed murder.

“The Scythian Lamb” opens February 3, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for upcoming live-action film “The Scythian Lamb” starring Ryo Nishikido, Fumino Kimura and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on manga “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida (“The Kirishima Thing“).

“The Scythian Lamb” is scheduled for release February, 2018 in Japan, but the movie will make its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (October 12-21, 2017).

Fumino Kimura cast in TBS-MBS drama series “Ito-kun A to E”

Fumino Kimura is cast for the lead role in upcoming TBS-MBS drama series “Ito-kun A to E.” Also cast for major supporting female character roles are Nozomi Sasaki, Mirai Shida, Elaiza Ikeda and Kaho. All 5 of these women will appear in the movie version of “Ito-kun A to E” as well. The drama series is based on 2013 novel “Ito-kun A to E” by Asako Yuzuki. Story for the drama series will have Fumino Kimura playing washed up screenwriter Rio Yazaki. From a questionnaire she has an audience answer, she notices that 4 women are dating the same man. She decides to write a drama series about the 4 women. The 4 women are played by Nozomi Sasaki, Mirai Shida, Elaiza Ikeda and Kaho. Also cast in the drama series are Yuki Yamada, Kei Tanaka and Tomoya Nakamura.

Drama series “Ito-kun A to E” will first air August 15, 2017 in Japan.

Jun Matsumoto, Teruyuki Kagawa & Fumino Kimura cast in TBS drama series “99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II”

Jun Matsumoto, Teruyuki Kagawa & Fumino Kimura are cast in new TBS drama series “99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II.” Jun Matsumoto and Teruyuki Kagawa will reprise their respective lead male character roles from season 1 of “99.9 Criminal Lawyer.” Fumino Kimura will play new lead female character Maiko Ozaki. Her character is a former criminal court judge. Due to a case, she quit her job and stayed away from the law field. To help a friend, she visits Madarame Law Firm. There, Atsuhiro Sada (Teruyuki Kagawa) asks Maiko Ozaki to work at their law firm and she accepts.

“99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II” first airs January, 2018 in Japan.

Masaki Okada and Fumino Kimura cast in movie “Ito-kun A to E”

Masaki Okada and Fumino Kimura are cast in new movie “Ito-kun A to E.” The film is based on 2013 novel “Ito-kun A to E” by Asako Yuzuki and will be directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. This is the first movie adaptation of a novel by Asako Yuzuki, but two of her past novels were adapted into 2013 NHK drama series “Beauty in Grief” and 2015 NHK drama series “Akko’s Lunches.” Story for the film has Masaki Okada playing Seijiro Ito. He is handsome man, but also has a huge ego. He dates five different women (A to E). Fumino Kimura will play Rio Yazaki. Her character is a once popular screenwriter who is trying to revive her career. She is also one of the women dating Seijiro Ito.

“Ito-kun A to E” will be released sometime during spring, 2018 in Japan.

Masaki Suda and Kenta Kiritani cast in movie “Hibana: Spark”

Masaki Suda and Kenta Kiritani are cast in movie “Hibana: Spark.” Fumino KimuraShuji Kawatani (comedy duo ‘Nicho Kenju’) and Masaki Miura are also cast in supporting roles. Movie “Hibana: Spark” is based on 2015 novel “Hibana” by Naoki Matayoshi. Online streaming company Netflix produced and distributed drama series version “Hibana: Spark” starring Kento Hayashi & Kazuki Namioka last year, which will re-air on NHK beginning February 26, 2016. In the upcoming movie version, Masaki Suda will play aspiring comedian Tokunaga and Kenta Kiritani will play veteran comedian Kamiya. Movie will be directed by Itsuji Itao.

Movie version “Hibana: Spark” will be released November, 2017 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “Tsuioku”

Trailer added for movie “Tsuioku” starring Junichi Okada, Shun Oguri & Tasuku Emoto. Equally as impressive, movie features Masami Nagasawa, Fumino Kimura, Sakura Ando & Hidetaka Yoshioka. Movie is directed by Yasuo Furuhata. Story for “Tsuioku” (literally “Memory”) follows three childhood friends who meet as adults. One person is now a detective (Junichi Okada), one is the suspect (Shun Oguri) and the other the victim (Tasuku Emoto). Their past also comes to the foreground.

“Tsuioku” is now scheduled for release May 6, 2017 in Japan.

Takuya Kimura cast in TBS drama series “A Life”

Takuya Kimura is cast in new TBS medical drama series “A Life.” Also cast in supporting roles are Yuko Takeuchi, Kenichi Matsuyama, Fumino Kimura, Nanao, Akira Emoto, Min Tanaka, Takashi Kobayashi, Mitsuhiro Oikawa & Tadanobu Asano.

In the drama series, Takuya Kimura will play lead character Kazuaki Okita. He tries to do his best to save patients’ lives. Tadanobu Asano will play his former friend who got him kicked out of the hospital, while Yuko Takeuchi plays his former girlfriend who is now married to the character played by Tadanobu Asano.

“A Life” first airs this January in Japan.
