Junpei Mizobata is cast in new live-action film “Hurricane Polymar.” The movie is based on the TV anime series “Hurricane Polymar” which aired on channel NET (now TV Asahi) from 1974-1975. Junpei Mizobata will play main character Takeshi Yoroi. He is a private investigator who came into a possession of a special suit made out of an artificial polymar. With the suit, Takeshi Yoroi turns into Hurrican Polymar – a superhero with the ability to transform into 5 different kinds of vehicles. Also cast in supporting roles are Yuki Yamada,
Mikie Hara & Yurina Yanagi.
“Hurricane Polymar” will be released May, 2017 in Japan.
Atsushi Arai and Amane Okayama are cast in new movie “Kamisama no Wadachi: Checkpoint of the Life.” Movie is written and directed by Yu Sakudo. In the movie, Atsushi Arai and Amane Okayama play longtime friends who are bicycle enthusiasts. The film will show their interactions with people around Ide, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.
“Kamisama no Wadachi: Checkpoint of the Life” will be released sometime during spring, 2017 in Japan.

Lee Jong-Suk & Bae Suzy have been offered the lead roles in upcoming drama series “While You Were Sleeping.” Currently, the two are “positively considering” the offers.
The screenplay for the drama series is scripted by Park Hye-Ryun. This is important, as Park Hye-Ryun has worked with Lee Jong-Suk in SBS drama series “I Can Hear Your Voice” and SBS drama series “Pinocchio.” Meanwhile, Bae Suzy has worked with Park Hye-Ryun in KBS2 dream series “Dream High.” SidusHQ will produce the drama series and casting is expected to finish this year. Filming is expected to begin in early, 2017. It has yet to be determined which network will air the drama series, but it is expected to air sometime in spring or early summer, 2017 in South Korea.
Teaser trailer added for upcoming live-action film “Blade of the Immortal” starring Takuya Kimura & Hana Sugisaki. Filming for the movie took place in Kyoto, Japan from November, 2015 through January, 2016. The climax scene involving Manji (Takuya Kimura) taking on 300 men took 15 days to film.
“Blade of the Immortal” will be released April 29, 2017 in Japan.
KBS2 drama series “Sound of Your Heart,” starring Lee Kwang-Soo & Jung So-Min, is now set to air from December 9, 2016 in South Korea. The drama series consists of 20 episodes with each episode lasting for 15 minutes. 4 episodes will air per week on Friday night . The drama series follows the relationship between a cartoonist (Lee Kwang-Soo) and those around him.
Takuya Kimura is cast in new TBS medical drama series “A Life.” Also cast in supporting roles are Yuko Takeuchi, Kenichi Matsuyama, Fumino Kimura, Nanao, Akira Emoto, Min Tanaka, Takashi Kobayashi, Mitsuhiro Oikawa & Tadanobu Asano.
In the drama series, Takuya Kimura will play lead character Kazuaki Okita. He tries to do his best to save patients’ lives. Tadanobu Asano will play his former friend who got him kicked out of the hospital, while Yuko Takeuchi plays his former girlfriend who is now married to the character played by Tadanobu Asano.
“A Life” first airs this January in Japan.
Actress Kim So-Hyun is cast in upcoming MBC period drama series “Ruler: Master of the Mask” co-starring Yoo Seung-Ho.
For the drama series, Kim So-Hyun will play lead female character Lee Ga-Eun. Her character is the daughter from a military family. She has a strong sense of justice and high intelligence. Lee Ga-Eun attempts to take revenge on Crown Prince Lee Sun (Yoo Seung-Ho), who beheaded her father, but she falls in love with him.
“Ruler: Master of the Mask” airs sometime next year in South Korea.
