Main trailer and poster for disaster film “Pandora”

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming disaster film “Pandora” starring Kim Nam-Gil. Premise for the film revolves around a nuclear disaster which causes nuclear power plant employee Jae-Hyeok (Kim Nam-Gil) to try to save his family and nation.

“Pandora” will open sometime this December in South Korea.

Supporting cast for live-action film “Teiichi’s Country”

Cast in supporting roles for upcoming live-action film are “Teiichi’s Country” starring Masaki Suda are: Shuhei Nomura, Ryoma Takeuchi, Shotaro Mamiya, Jun Shison, Yudai Chiba, Mei Nagano & Kotaro Yoshida. The film is based on manga series “Teiichi no Kuni” by Usamaru Furuya and directed by Akira Nagai.

In “Teiichi’s Country,” Shuhei Nomura will play Kikuma Togo. He was the childhood friend of Teiichi (Masaki Suda) and is now hostile to Teiichi. He has an ability to collect information.

Ryoma Takeuchi will play Dan Otaka. He is a student with a bright, faithful and honest personality.

Shotaro Mamiya will play Rorando Himuro. He is a 2nd grade high school student and a candidate for the school’s student council president position.

Jun Shison will play Komei Sakakibara. He is a popular student at the high school.

Yudai Chiba will play Okuto Morizo. He is also a 2nd grade high school student and a candidate for the school’s student council president position.

Mei Nagano will play Mimiko Shiratori. She secretly dates with Teiichi.

Kotaro Yoshida will play Josuke Akaba. He is the father of Teiichi.

“Teiichi’s Country” will be released April 29, 2017 in Japan.

Kwon Yuri cast in SBS drama series “Defendant”

Kwon Yuri from ‘Girls’ Generation’ is cast for the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “Defendant.” Meanwhile, actor Ji Sung is still considering an offer to play the lead male character. Already cast in supporting roles are Oh Chang-Suk & Kim Min-Suk.

In drama series “Defendant,” Kwon Yuri will play Seo Eun-Hye. She works as a public defender and holds a strong sense of justice. She is not afraid of opposing the prosecutor or the judge in the name of justice.

Filming for “Defendant” is expected to start December, 2016 and the drama series will first air sometime January, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim“).

Mone Kamishiraishi cast in live-action TBS drama series “Hokusai to Meshi Saeareba”

Mone Kamishiraishi is cast in live-action TBS drama series “Hokusai to Meshi Saeareba.” The drama series is based on manga series “Hokusai to Meshi Saeareba” by Sanami Suzuki. This will be Mone Kamishiraishi’s first lead acting role in a drama series. In the upcoming drama series, Mone Kamishiraishi will play Fumiko Yamada. Her character is a university student with shy and eccentric tendencies, but she absolutely loves to cook. She also has a doll named “Hokusai.”

“Hokusai to Meshi Saeareba” first airs January 22, 2017 on MBS and January 24, 2017 on TBS. MBS and TBS will air the drama special “Hokusai to Meshi Saeareba-Jokyo Shinkyo Meshi Keikaku hen’’ a week before the drama series airs.

Junpei Mizobata cast in live-action film “Hurricane Polymar”

Junpei Mizobata is cast in new live-action film “Hurricane Polymar.” The movie is based on the TV anime series “Hurricane Polymar” which aired on channel NET (now TV Asahi) from 1974-1975. Junpei Mizobata will play main character Takeshi Yoroi. He is a private investigator who came into a possession of a special suit made out of an artificial polymar. With the suit, Takeshi Yoroi turns into Hurrican Polymar – a superhero with the ability to transform into 5 different kinds of vehicles. Also cast in supporting roles are Yuki Yamada,
Mikie Hara & Yurina Yanagi.

“Hurricane Polymar” will be released May, 2017 in Japan.

Atsushi Arai and Amane Okayama cast in movie “Kamisama no Wadachi: Checkpoint of the Life.”

Atsushi Arai and Amane Okayama are cast in new movie “Kamisama no Wadachi: Checkpoint of the Life.” Movie is written and directed by Yu Sakudo. In the movie, Atsushi Arai and Amane Okayama play longtime friends who are bicycle enthusiasts. The film will show their interactions with people around Ide, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

“Kamisama no Wadachi: Checkpoint of the Life” will be released sometime during spring, 2017 in Japan.
