Ji Chang-Wook cast in SBS drama series “Watch Out For This Woman”

Ji Chang-Wook is now cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Watch Out For This Woman” (literal title). For the drama series, Ji Chang-Wook will play lead male character No Ji-Wook. He works as a prosecutor and he gets in involved in an unexpected case with Eun Bong-Hee. He eventually switches sides and becomes a lawyer.

Meanwhile, Han Ji-Min has been offered the lead female role. Actresses Lee Sung-Kyung was first offered the role, but she will not play the role. If Han Ji-Min accepts, she will play Eun-Bong-Hee. Her character is a former taekwondo athlete and now a judicial apprentice.

“Watch Out For This Woman” first airs May 10, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Saimdang, Light’s Diary.”

Yoon Si-Yoon & Kim Min-Jae cast in KBS2 drama series “The Best Hit”

Yoon Si-Yoon & Kim Min-Jae are cast in new KBS2 drama series “The Best Hit” (literal title). The drama series is directed by Yoo Ho-Jin who has previously directed Yoon Si-Yoon in popular TV reality-variety show “2 Days & 1 Night.”

In drama series “The Best Hit,” Yoon Si-Yoon will play a popular idol singer, known for his scandals, and Kim Min-Jae will play a struggling singer.

“The Best Hit” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for movie “The King’s Case Note”

Teaser trailer for upcoming movie “The King’s Case Note” starring Lee Sun-Kyun & Ahn Jae-Hong. Movie follows the path of “Detective K” with a historical backdrop and a detective and his sidekick investigating cases. This time around the detective played by Lee Sun-Kyun is actually the King, who likes to moonlight as a detective in his free time, and his sidekick is record keeper Yoon Yi-Seo played by Ahn Jae-Hong.

“The King’s Case Note” will be released this April in South Korea.

Gen Hoshino cast in WOWOW drama series “Plage”

Gen Hoshino is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Plage.” The drama series is based on 2015 novel “Purajyu” by Tetsuya Honda (“Strawberry Night“) and directed by Yasuhiro Yoshida. WOWOW previously adapted another Tetsuya Honda novel into 2012 drama series “Hitorishizuka” starring Kaho. Drama series “Plage” centers around 32-year-old Takao played by Gen Hoshino. To break the boredom in his life, he decides to go somewhere new, but he ends being arrested for taking a drug stimulant which he did not know he was taking. Eventually he ends up living at the share house “Plage.”

“Plage” will air sometime this summer in Japan.

Seohyun cast in MBC drama series “Bad Thief, Good Thief”

Seohyun (‘Girls’ Generation’) is now cast in upcoming MBC drama series “Bad Thief, Good Thief” (literal title). In the drama series, Seohyun will play lead female character Kang So-Joo. Her character is a detective filled with justice. The drama series follows a group of thieves who hurt a small, but elite group who secretly manipulates the country.

“Bad Thief, Good Thief” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10 PM time slot after “Father, I’ll Take Care of You“).

Ryohei Suzuki cast in live-action WOWOW drama series “Kenji Miyazawa’s Table”

Ryohei Suzuki is cast in live-action WOWOW drama series “Kenji Miyazawa’s Table” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga “Miyazawa Kenji no Shokutaku” by Santa Uonome. Story for the drama series is set in the 1920’s and follows the life of Kenji Miyazawa. He leaves behind his wealthy family to live on his own, but moves back after his family becomes worried about him. He eventually takes a teaching job.

“Kenji Miyazawa’s Table” first airs June, 2017 in Japan.

Kang Ha-Neul & Kim Moo-Yul cast in movie “Night of Memory”

Kang Ha-Neul and Kim Moo-Yul are cast in new movie “Night of Memory” (literal title). The film is directed by Jang Hang-Jun. In the movie, Kang Ha-Neul and Kim Moo-Yul will play brothers. The older brother, played by Kim Moo-Yul, is kidnapped, but he returns 19 days later. It’s like he’s become a different person and his younger brother attempts to find out the truth behind his disappearance. Filming for “Night of Memory” began March 11, 2017.

Kento Nakajima & Kyoko Yoshine cast in live-action film “The Anthem of the Heart”

Kento Nakajima & Kyoko Yoshine are cast in live-action film “The Anthem of the Heart.” Movie is based on 2015 animation film “The Anthem of the Heart” (“Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda”). Also cast in the live-action film are Anna Ishii & Kanichiro. Story for the film revolves around two students who are appointed to an executive committee by their teacher. The committee is tasked to put on a musical for the Regional Friendship Exchange. Kento Nakajima will play Takumi Sakagami and Kyoko Yoshine will play Jun Naruse. Jun Naruse doesn’t speak because of a traumatic incident in her past, but she is able to sing really well. Movie will be directed by Naoto Kumazawa.

“The Anthem of the Heart” will be released July 22, 2017 in Japan.
