Dean Fujioka is cast in upcoming movie “The Flying Tire” (literal title) starring Tomoya Nagase (‘TOKIO’). Movie is based on 2006 novel “Soratobu Taiya” by Jun Ikeido, which was previously adapted into 2009 WOWOW drama series “The Flying Tire.” In the movie, Dean Fujioka will play Yuta Sawada. He works as the chief of customer strategy section at car manufacturer Hopu. He is against Tokuro Akamatsu (Tomoya Nagase).
“The Flying Tire” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
“Secret Forest” (literal title) is set to become the first tvN drama series to air Saturday and Sunday at 9PM. The drama series was originally scheduled to air Friday and Saturday at 8PM/8:30PM following “Chicago Typewriter.” Going forwards, tvN will air their weekend drama series on Saturday and Sunday instead of Friday and Saturday. “Secret Forest” stars Cho Seung-Woo & Bae Doo-Na as a prosecutor and detective. Lastly, tvN is set to premiere a drama series in a new Wednesday and Thursday prime time slot beginning July, 2017.
Ep.1 of “Secret Forest” will now air June 10, 2017 in South Korea.
Here’s the first teaser poster for upcoming live-action film “Love and Lies” starring Aoi Morikawa, Takumi Kitamura & Kanta Sato. One day, we are informed to love.” Premise for the film has the government on a mission to increase the birthrate of its country. They analyze gene information to select marriage partners for its citizens. Movie is based on manga series”Koi to Uso” by Musawo.

Matsuya Onoe is cast in TV Tokyo-Netflix live-action drama series “Saboriman Kantarou.” The drama series is based on manga series “Saboriman Ametani Kantarou” by Tensei Hagiwara & Abidi Inoue. Story for “Saboriman Kantarou” follows salesman Kantarou Ametani played by Matsuya Onoe. While he does his job well, he secretly skips out on his job to go eat sweets. It’s also Matsuya Onoe’s first time to act for a lead role in a drama series.
“Saboriman Kantarou” will first air July, 2017.
Teaser trailer added for upcoming action film “Real” starring Kim Soo-Hyun. In addition to the first teaser trailer, the movie has now picked up a June, 2017 release date in South Korea.
Sota Fukushi and Haruna Kawaguchi are cast in new NTV drama series “I Love You, But I Have a Secret” (literal title of “Aishite tatte, Himitsu wa Aru”). The drama series is based on an original screenplay by Sayaka Kuwamura (“A Girl & Three Sweethearts“) and directed by Hayato Kawai. Story for the drama has Sota Fukushi playing law school student Rei Okumori. He holds a dark secret which is that he killed his father who was abusive to his mother. He meets Sawa Tachibana (Haruna Kawaguchi) at his law school and wants to marry her, but he begins to receive messages from someone that knows his secret. Honami Suzuki will play Rei’s mother Akiko Okumori and Kenichi Endo will play the father of Sawa Tachibana who is a lead public prosecutor.

Onew from boy band ‘SHINee’ has been offered a role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Age of Youth Season 2.” The drama series features the return of main cast members Han Ye-Ri, Han Seung-Yeon, Park Eun-Bin, Park Hye-Soo & Ryu Hwa-Young.
Currently, Onew is positively considering his offer. If he accepts, he will play a university student who doesn’t know how to date with girls. He gets involved with Jung Ye-Eun (Han Seung-Yeon). Actor Kim Min-Suk is still considering an offer to play a leading male role in the drama series.

Ko Gyung-Pyo is cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Strongest Deliveryman” (literal title) co-starring Chae Soo-Bin. Ko Gyung-Po will play lead male character Choi Gang-Soo. He works as a veteran deliveryman and becomes the CEO of a delivery app company.
“Strongest Deliveryman” first airs July, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Friday and Saturday late night slot after “The Best Hit“).
Choi Min-Soo, Gang Ye-Won and Shin Sung-Rok are cast in upcoming MBC drama series “Man Who Dies to Live.” The drama series will air beginning July, 2017 on Wednesday and Thursday at 10PM. Drama series “Hospital Ship” was originally targeted to air at that time, but “Hospital Ship” will now air from August, 2017 after “Man Who Dies to Live.” Story for “Man Who Dies to Live” follows Jang Dal-Goo played by Choi Min-Soo. He moved to the middle east, but returns to South Korea to find his daughter played by Kang Ye-Won. She is now married to an office worker played by Shin Sung-Rok.
