Actress Jang Na-Ra is cast in new MBC drama series “One More Happy Ending” (literal title). Drama series will be directed by Kwon Sung-Chan (“Late Night Hospital“).
In drama series “One More Happy Ending,” Jang Na-Ra will play Han Mi-Mo. She works as a representative for a remarriage consulting business. She gives honest advice to her customers who hope to remarry. Her character possesses a beautiful appearance. When she was younger, Han Mi-Mo was a member of an idol group.
“One More Happy Ending” will first air this January in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “My Sweet and Sour Family“).
Yoona from popular idol group “Girls’ Generation” is cast in upcoming movie “Cooperation” starring Hyun-Bin. Veteran actor Yu Hae-Jin is currently considering an offer to play a major supporting role. Movie will be directed by Kim Sung-Hoon (“A Wonderful Moment“) and produced by Yoon Je-Kyun (“Ode To My Father“).
In movie “Cooperation,” Yoona will play Park Min-Young. Her character is the sister-in-law of a South Korean detective (Yu Hae-Jin if he accepts the role). Movie deals with an unofficial investigation conducted by North and South Korea together.
Filming for “Cooperation” will begin early next year in South Korea.

Actresses Ryoko Hirosue & Yuki Uchida are cast in new Fuji TV drama series “Naomi and Kanako” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Naomi to Kanako” by Hideo Okuda (“South Bound“/”Girls For Keeps“).
Story for “Naomi and Kanako” revolve around two friends who concoct a plan to kill one of the friend’s abusive husband.
“Naomi and Kanako” first airs sometime in January, 2016 in Japan.

Actor Lee Beom-Soo is cast to make a special guest appearance in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Moorim School.” The drama series stars Lee Hyun-Woo, Seo Ye-Ji, Hong Bin (‘VIXX’) & Jeong Eu-Gene.
In the drama series, Lee Beom-Soo will play Chinese character Wang Ha-O. His character is the father of Wang Chi-Ang (Hong Bin). Wang Ha-O is the president of company Shanghae. He is strict with his son and he also has a mystery event involving Moorim School. Lee Beom-Soo partially accepted the guest appearance role due to his relationship with director Lee So-Yeon. They previously worked together in 2013 KBS2 drama series “The Prime Minister and I.”
“Moorim School” will first air January, 2016 in South Korea.
Seo Ha-Jun and Yang Jin-Sung are cast in new SBS weekday morning drama series “My Son-In-Law’s Woman” (working & literal title). Also cast in the drama series are Lee Jae-Un, Jang Seung-Jo, Lee Sang-Ah & Jung Kyung-Ho. Story for “My Son-In-Law’s Woman” follows a woman who treats her son-in-law like a real son, but he eventually marries another woman.
“My Son-In-Law’s Woman” first airs January 4, 2016 in South Korea (takes over the time slot currently held by “My Mother Is a Daughter-In-Law“).
Shingo Katori (‘SMAP’), Juri Ueno, Toshiyuki Nishida & Jun Fubuki are cast in new TBS drama series “Kazoku no Katachi.” The drama series is directed by Shunichi Hirano (“S: The Last Policeman“) and screenplay by Noriko Goto (“Glory of Team Batista“).
In drama series “Kazoku no Katachi,” Shingo Katori plays Daisuke Nagasato. His character is 39-years-old and enjoys being single. His neighbor is Hanako Kumagai (Juri Ueno). Daisuke Nagasato’s single life is threatened when his father (Toshiyuki Nishida) and step-brother move in.
“Kazoku no Katachi” will first air this January in Japan.
Masaharu Fukuyama & Fumi Nikaido are cast in new movie “Scoop!” The film is a remake of 1985 film “Tosha 1/250 byo Out of Focus” written and directed by Masato Harada. “Scoop!” will be directed by Hitoshi One (“Love Strikes!”). Also cast in supporting roles are Yo Yoshida, Kenichi Takito & Lily Franky.
Story for “Scoop!” has Masaharu Fukuyama playing a freelance paparazzi photographer. He is pretty good at his craft, but gambling has led him into debt. He then teams up with a rookie reporter played by Fumi Nikaido, who works at his old weekly magazine place of employment, to chase after a major scoop.
“Scoop!” will be released next autumn in Japan.
First script reading for JTBC drama series “Madame Antoine” took place October 27, 2015 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. In attendance were all main cast members including Han Ye-Seul, Sung Joon, Jinwoon from K-pop group “2AM,” and Hwang Seung-Eon. Script reading took about 5 hours to complete.
“Madame Antoine” first airs November 27, 2015 in South Korea (takes over the Fridays and Saturdays 8:40PM time slot currently held by ‘D-Day.’)
