Yang Dong-Geun and Park Han-Byul cast in MBC drama series “Borg Mom”

Yang Dong-Geun and Park Han-Byul are cast for lead roles in upcoming MBC drama series “Borg Mom.” Also cast in supporting roles are Choi Yeo-Jin, Hwang Bo-Ra, Ivy, Jung Yi-Rang, Choi Jung-Won and Kwon Hyun-Bin. The drama series will have Yang Dong-Geun playing AI developer Choi Go-Bong. His wife died 7 years earlier after giving birth to their son. After her death, Choi Go-Bong created a borg mom. His son then gets into a prestigious kindergarten and the borg mom must deal with the pretentious mothers at the school.

“Borg Mom” will first air sometime this September in South Korea.

Here’s 6 character posters for upcoming movie “Namhansanseong” (Korean title). The character posters are of Lee Byung-Hun, Kim Yun-Seok, Park Hae-Il, Ko Soo, Park Hee-Soon and Jo Woo-Jin. Story for the film takes place over 47 days in the mountain fortress city of Namhansanseong with the fate of Joseon hanging in the balance.

A little background on the characters. Lee Byung-Hun will play Retainer Choi Myung-Kil. He insists on negotiating with the invading Qing Dynasty. Kim Yun-Seok plays Retainer Kim Sang-Hun. He insists on fighting the invading Qing Dynasty. Park Hae-Il plays King Injo. He agonzies over the two different scenarios. Ko Soo plays Seo Nal-Shwe. He delivers official papers. Park Hee-Soon plays General Lee Shi-Baek. He defends the wall of Namhansanseong. Jo Woo-Jin plays Jung Myung-Soo. He is translator to the Qing Dynasty.

Hiromi Nagasaku cast in WOWOW drama series “Chinmoku Hotei”

Hiromi Nagasaku is cast in WOWOW drama series “Chinmoku Hotei.” The drama series is based on 2016 novel “Chinmoku Hotei” by Joh Sasaki. Story for the drama series follows numerous deaths by suspicious circumstances. A woman played by Hiromi Nagasaku becomes the suspect as she has worked for the victims in a housekeeping role.

“Chinmoku Hotei” first airs September 24, 2017 in Japan.

Dean Fujioka & Emi Takei cast in NTV drama series “Ima kara Anata wo Kyouhaku Shimasu”

Dean Fujioka and Emi Takei are cast in new NTV drama series “Ima kara Anata wo Kyouhaku Shimasu.” The drama series is based on 2016 light novel “Ima kara Anata wo Kyouhaku Shimasu” by Namiya Fujiishi. In the drama series, Dean Fujioka will play Kanji Senkawa. He takes on cases that the police or private investigators are unable to handle. Emi Takei will play wealthy college student Mio Kanesaka. These two characters will work together on cases ranging from voice phishing to kidnappings.

Lee Jong-Hyun offered lead male role in KBS2 drama series “Lingerie Girls’ Generation”

Lee Jong-Hyun (‘CNBLUE’) has been offered the lead male role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Lingerie Girls’ Generation” (literal title). The drama series is based on 2009 novel “Lanjeri Sonyeoshidae” by Kim Yong-Hee and also pairs director Hong Seok-Ku and screenwriter Yoon Kyung-Ah whom previously worked together in KBS2 drama series “Ms. Perfect.” Story for the drama series is set in the 1970’s in the city of Daegu, South Korea. The drama series will follow the growth of female high school students.

“Lingerie Girls’ Generation” will first air September 11, 2017.

Masataka Kubota, Hirofumi Arai, Keiko Enoue (‘comedy duo ‘Nicche’) and Miwako Kakei are all cast in movie “Kenen.” The film will revolve around a pair of brothers and a pair of sisters. The younger brother (Masataka Kubota) works at a printing company and has a good head on his shoulders. His older brother (Hirofumi Arai) can get violent and has been in prison. Meanwhile, the older sister (Keiko Enoue) runs her family’s printing business. Her younger sister (Miwako Kakei) isn’t smart like her older sister, but she is pretty and popular due to her outgoing personality. Movie is written and directed by Keisuke Yoshida.

“Kenen” will be released February, 2018 in Japan.
