Nana Komatsu & Yo Oizumi cast in live-action film “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni”

Nana Komatsu & Yo Oizumi are cast in live-action film “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” (literally “Love is Like After the Rain”). Movie is based on manga series “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” by Jun Mayuzuki and directed by Akira Nagai. The story for the film has Nana Komatsu playing 17-year-old high school student Akira Tachibana. At a family restaurant, she meets the restaurant’s 45-year-old manager (Yo Oizumi) and falls in love with him.

Filming for “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” begins November 15, 2017 and finishes at the end of December, 2017. The live-action film will be released May, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser #1 for KBS2 drama series “Jugglers”

First teaser trailer added for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Jugglers” starring Daniel Choi and Baek Jin-Hee. The teaser trailer begins with supporting actor Kim Chang-Wan asking “what are jugglers?” Narration then by Jung Sung-Ho plays and he explains that “jugglers refers to a group of multitasking secretaries who can carry out various work with either hand. Their ability as a secretary is beyond human limitations.”

“Jugglers” first airs December 4, 2017 in South Korea.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Happy Sisters”

First script reading for SBS morning weekday drama series “Happy Sisters” took place October 13, 2017 at  SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. Main cast members including Shim Yi-Young, Han Young, Oh Dae-Gyu and Kang Seo-Joon all attended. The drama series will follow the trials and tribulations of two sisters played by Shim Yi-Young and Han Young.

“Happy Sisters” first airs December 4, 2017 in South Korea.

6 character posters for movie “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds”

Here’s 6 character posters for upcoming movie “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.” The character posters are of Ha Jung-Woo, Cha Tae-Hyun, Ju Ji-Hoon, Kim Hyang-Gi, Lee Jung-Jae, Oh Dal-Su and Lim Won-Hee. The film features a unique fantasy element and is based on webcomic Singwa Hamgge” by Joo Ho-Min. In the upcoming movie, Ha Jung-Woo plays Gang Rim. He is the leader of the angel of deaths. He is able to overcome difficulties with an eloquent speech skill and ability to handle crisis. Cha Tae-Hyun will play Kim Ja-Hong. He is a firefighter and dies while trying to save a person at the scene of a fire. Ju Ji-Hoon will play Hae Won Maek. He is an angel of death and the top warrior in the after world. Lee Jung-Jae will play the God of Death (King Yeomra).

“Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” will be released December 20, 2017.

Nanase Nishino cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Denei Shojo: Video Girl Ai 2018”

Nanase Nishino (‘Nogizaka46’) is cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “Denei Shojo: Video Girl Ai 2018” co-starring Shuhei Nomura. In drama series “Denei Shojo: Video Girl Ai 2018,” Nanase Nishino will play video girl Ai Amano. Her character has been sealed in a video cassette for the past 25 years and she suddenly steps out a video played by Sho Moteuchi (Shuhei Nomura). Ai Amano then lives with Sho Moteuchi and she sometimes gets embarrassed by the present world which has changed a lot from the 1990’s. The drama series is based on manga series “Denei Shojo: Ai-hen” by Masakazu Katsura.

“Denei Shojo: Video Girl Ai 2018” will first air January, 2018 in Japan.

Kim Tae-Woo cast in movie “Outbreak”

Kim Tae-Woo is cast for a special appearance role in movie “Outbreak” starring Hyun-Bin and Jang Dong-Gun. In the movie, Kim Tae-Woo will play Crown Prince Lee Young. Actor Kim Ju-Hyeok was first cast to play Crown Prince Lee Young, but with his unexpected death in a car accident on October 30, 2017, Kim Tae-Woo was then selected to play the role. Movie is directed by Kim Sung-Hoon (“Confidential Assignment“).

Filming for “Outbreak” began September 1, 2017 and is still ongoing.

IU cast in tvN drama series “My Ajusshi”

IU is now cast for the lead female role in upcoming tvN drama series “My Ajusshi” co-starring Lee Sun-Kyun. For the drama series, IU will play Lee Ji-An. She is a woman in her 20’s and works as a contract worker at a construction company.  Park Dong-Hoon (Lee Sun-Kyun) works as an engineer at the same construction company. She gets to know Park Dong-Hoon and develops respect for him. Also cast in supporting roles are Oh Dal-Su, Song Sae-Byeok and Na Moon-Hee. Oh Dal-Su will play Park Sang-Hoon. He is the older brother of Park Dong-Hoon. Song Sae-Byeok will play Park Gi-Hoon. He is the younger brother of Park Dong-Hoon. Lastly, Na Moon-Hee will play Byeon Yo-Soon. She is the mother of Park Dong-Hoon, Park Sang-Hoon and Park Gi-Hoon.

Filming for “My Ajusshi” begins December, 2017 and the drama series will air sometime during the first half of 2018 (airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10PM after “Mother.”).

Hiroki Hasegawa cast in TBS drama special “Tocho Bakuha”

Hiroki Hasegawa is cast in TBS drama special “Tocho Bakuha.” Also cast in supporting roles are Koji Kikkawa, Lily Franky, Shinobu Terajima and Atsuro Watabe. The drama special will have Hiroki Hasegawa playing Yuji Hongo. His wife and daughter become hostages at an office building by international terrorists. He slips into the building to save his wife and daughter. Movie is based on 2001 novel” Tocho Bakuha!” by Tetsuo Takashima.

“Tocho Bakuha” will air January 2, 2018 in Japan.

Special trailer added for movie “The 8-Year Engagement” starring Takeru Satoh and Tao Tsuchiya. The screenplay is based on a true story and revolves around an engaged couple. The woman suddenly falls into a coma and stays in a vegetative state for years. The man doesn’t give up hope even when her parents suggests he should move on. The woman does wake up from coma years later, but she doesn’t remember her fiance.
