Sayaka Yamaguchi is cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Black Scandal.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Tomoharu Sato and directed by Makoto Naganuma. In the drama series, Sayaka Yamaguchi plays actress Sara Fujisaki. Her career and personal life is ruined by false reports of her having an affair. 5 years later, she takes a new identity and works at the management company where she was once a client to get revenge.

“Black Scandal” first airs October 4, 2018 in Japan.

Jo Bo-Ah offered lead female role in SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back”

Jo Bo-Ah has been offered the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back” co-starring Yoo Seung-Ho. Currently, Jo Bo-Ah is considering the offer. If she accepts, she will play the lead female character which currently doesn’t have a description. Casting of Yoo Seung-Ho for the lead male role was announced just yesterday.

“Bok-Soo’s Back” will first air December, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “The Beauty Inside”

Teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “The Beauty Inside” starring Seo Hyun-Jin and Lee Min-Ki. The drama series is a remake of 2015 South Korean film “The Beauty Inside,” but with at least one major twist. That twist is that the lead female character, played by Seo Hyun-Jin, is the one who changes physical appearance. The teaser trailer also prominently features the track “Love Ya!” by Korean band Hyukoh. Towards the end of the 1 minute teaser, Lee Min-Ki’s voice appear and he tells Seo Hyun-Jin “It’s OK. I’ll find out everything about it.”

“The Beauty Inside” first airs September 17, 2018 in South Korea.

Yoo Seung-Ho cast in SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back”

Yoo Seung-Ho is cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Bok-Soo’s Back” (working and literal title). In the drama series, Yoo Seung-Ho will play title character Kang Bok-Soo. When he was younger, Kang Bok-Soo was kicked out of high school because of a girl he liked Son Soo-Jung and a boy Oh Se-Ho. As he an adult, he returns to the high school as a student to get revenge, but he gets involved in other cases.

“Bok-Soo’s Back” first airs December, 2018 taking over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Fox Bride Star.”

Lee Seol cast for lead female role in MBC drama series “Bad Detective”

Lee Seol is cast for the lead female role in MBC drama series “Bad Detective” co-starring Shin Ha-Kyun. The drama series is a remake of UK TV series “Luther.” Park Ho-San and Baro were previously announced as cast for major supporting characters in the drama series. Lee Seol’s prior acting credits include minor parts in 2018 movies “Herstory” and “I Have a Date with Spring.” Lee Seol landed the lead female role in “Bad Detective” through auditions which involved about 300 other actresses.

For the drama series “Bad Detective,” Lee Seol will play Eun Sun-Jae. She is an attractive psychopath and helps Detective Woo Tae-Seok (Shin Ha-Kyun) solve cases.

“Bad Detective” first airs November 26, 2018 in South Korea.

Yutaro Furutachi & Shizuka Ishibashi cast in movie “Ichigo no Uta”

Yutaro Furutachi & Shizuka Ishibashi are cast in movie “Ichigo no Uta.” The film is based on 2018 novel “Ichigo no Uta” by screenwriter Yoshikazu Okada and musician-actor Kazunobu Mineta from rock band GING NANG BOYZ. The novel itself is based on seven songs from GING NANG BOYZ which are”Hyoryu Kyoshitsu,” “Tokyo,” “Aishiterutte Yutteyone,” “Poadamu,” “Ginga Tetsudo no Yoru,” “Moshimo Kimi ga Naku Nara ba” and “Koi wa Eien.” Movie is directed by Shintaro Sugawara. The film revolves around a childhood friend who reappears 10 years after his death in a car accident.

“Ichigo no Uta” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Character teaser trailers added for tvN drama series “Room No. 9” starring Kim Hee-Seon, Kim Young-Kwang and Kim Hae-Sook. The drama features the unusual premise of a lawyer (Kim Hee-Seon) and death row inmate (Kim Hae-Sook) mysteriously switching bodies in the prison’s room no.9.

For Kim Hee-Seon’s character teaser trailer. It begins with Kim Hee-Seon’s stating “Expensive lawyer’s fee, successful lawyer, 100% winning rate, that kind of lawyer is me. Everything begins there. Room No.9”

Kim Young-Kwang’s character teaser has Kim Young-Kwang stating “I pretend to not know anything. I pretend to have no interest. I pretend that i like. Only then can I approach the truth. Everything begins there. Room No. 9.”

Lastly, Kim Hae-Sook’s character teaser begins with her stating “To a death-row convict, every morning when the sun rises is death. If you can not give me hope, then just kill me. Everything begins there. Room No.9.”

“Room No. 9” is now scheduled to first air September 29, 2018 in South Korea.
