First script reading for SBS drama series “Fates & Furies”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Fates & Furies” took place September 11, 2018 at SBS Studio in Tanhyun, Ilsan, South Korea. The first script reading included Lee Min-Jung, Joo Sang-Wook, So E-Hyun, Lee Ki-Woo and ex-‘After School’ member Lizzy. The drama series follows Goo Hae-Ra (Lee Min-Jung) as she pursues a wealthy man (Joo Sang-Wook) to escape her bleak situation.

“Fates & Furies” first airs December 1, 2018 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and first stills for Netflix drama series “Kingdom”

Teaser trailer and first still images for Netflix drama series “Kingdom” starring Ju Ji-HoonBae Doo-Na and Ryoo Seung-Ryong. The drama series features a period-horror-thriller themed screenplay with zombies. The drama series is based on webcomic “Burning Hell Shinui Nara” by Kim Eun-Hee and directed by Kim Sung-Hoon (“A Hard Day“). In the drama series, Ju Ji-Hoon plays Crown Prince Lee Chang. He searches for answers on why certain people turn into zombies after being starved. In addition, Netflix has announced that “Kingdom” will also feature a season 2. Still images below and above are the first from the drama series.

“Kingdom” will be available to stream on Netflix worldwide from January 25, 2019.

Teaser trailer and poster for live-action film “Ibuki 192”

Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “Ibuki 192” starring Hidetoshi Nishijima and Kuranosuke Sasaki. Movie is based on manga “Kuubo Ibuki” by Kaiji Kawaguchi and directed by Setsuro Wakamatsu (“The Unbroken“). Premise for the film is set in the near future in Japan and takes place over a 24 hour period when Japan is attacked by a military force with unknown origins.

“Ibuki 192” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 added for upcoming SBS drama series “The Last Empress” starring Jang Na-RaChoi Jin-Hyuk and Shin Sung-Rok. Meanwhile still images below is of Choi Jin-Hyuk as Na Wang-Sik. He works as a bodyguard for the royal family. This scene is the first of Na Wang-Sik dressed in formal attire as the royal family bodyguard and was filmed recently in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province.

Shin Go-Eun and Im Yoon-Ho are cast in SBS weekday morning drama series “Gangnam Scandal.” Shin Go-Eun will play lead female character Eun So-Yoo and Im Yoon-Ho will play lead male character Choi Seo-Joon. The script has Eun So-Yoo pretending to love Choi Seo-Joon for his money, but she actually falls in love with him.

“Gangnam Scandal” first airs November 26, 2018 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday – Friday 8:40AM time slot after “I Am The Mother Too.”).

Teaser trailer and teaser poster for movie “Parallel World Love Story” starring Yuta TamamoriRiho Yoshioka and Shota Sometani. Movie is based on novel “Parallel World Love Story” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Yoshitaka Mori (“Space Brothers“). Caption on the teaser poster asks in Japanese “Woman I love is indeed my lover? or my friend’s lover?” In addition, newly announced supporting cast members are Michitaka Tsutsui, Mimura, Hiroya Shimizu, Ron Mizuma, Nicole Ishida and Tomorowo Taguchi.

“Parallel World Love Story” will be released May 31, 2019.

Jung Il-Woo, Go Ara and Kwon Yool cast in SBS drama series “Hatch”

Jung Il-Woo, Go Ara and Kwon Yool are cast in SBS drama series “Hatch.” The drama series is set during the Joseon dynasty period. For the drama series, Jung Il-Woo will play Prince Lee Geum, Go Ara will play Investigator Yeo-Ji and  Kwon Yool will play Park Moon-Soo. Jung Il-Woo is currently performing alternative military service and his alternative service is scheduled to end December 2, 2018. At that time he will begin preparing for the drama series. He enlisted in the alternative military service on December 8, 2016.

“Hatch” will first air February, 2019 in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for upcoming MBC drama series “Red Moon Blue Sun” (literal title) starring Kim Sun-A, Lee Yi-Kyung and Nam Gyu-Ri. Teaser trailer #1 doesn’t show the main performers, but rather children playing and then a camera pans to a blood covered arm laying on the ground.

Mytsery-thriller drama series “Red Moon Blue Sun” first airs November 21, 2018 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Terius Behind Me“).
