Ju Ji-Hoon character teaser trailer added for MBC drama series “Item” starring Ju Ji-Hoon, Jin Se-Yun and Kim Kang-Woo. The teaser trailer follows character teaser trailers for Jin Se-Yun and Kim Kang-Woo. In the drama series, Ju Ji-Hoon plays prosecutor Kang Gon. He comes across a conspiracy involving supernatural powers. Above and below are two new main posters for the drama series.

Byun Yo-Han is cast in drama series “City of Stars” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Jang Jin. In the drama series, Byun Yo-Han will play Yoo Dong-Ha. He is a former Air Force pilot, but he has not flown since he began having claustrophobia. He then is selected for a program to train potential astronauts.
“City of Stars” is tentatively scheduled to air sometime during the second half of this year. Network to broadcast the drama series has not yet been decided.
Teaser trailer #2 added for movie “Parallel World Love Story” starring Yuta Tamamori, Riho Yoshioka and Shota Sometani. Movie is based on novel “Parallel World Love Story” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Yoshitaka Mori (“Space Brothers“). The film tells a story involving love and friendship between people in parallel universes.
“Parallel World Love Story” will be released May 31, 2019 in Japan.

Teaser trailer & poster added for live-action film “The Great War of Archimedes” staring Masaki Suda, Hiroshi Tachi and Minami Hamabe. Movie is based on manga “Archimedes no Taisen” by Norifusa Mita (“Dragon Zakura“) and directed by Takashi Yamazaki (“The Eternal Zero“). Caption on the teaser poster states in Japanese “This is the story of a man who tries to stop the war with mathematics.”
“The Great War of Archimedes” is now scheduled for release July 26, 2019 in Japan.

Taisuke Fujigaya (‘Kis-My-Ft.2’) is cast for double lead roles in Fuji TV-Tokai TV drama series “Mirror Twins Season 1” and WOWOW drama series “Mirror Twins Season 2.” In the drama series, Taisuke Fujigaya will play Detective Keigo Katsuragi and his twin brother Yugo Katsuragi. In season 1, an attempted murder takes place and the same DNA of Keigo Katsuragi is found at the crime scene. Keigo Katsuragi suspects the DNA is that of his twin brother Yugo.
“Mirror Twins Season 1” first airs April 6, 2019 and consists of 8 episodes. “Mirror Twins Season 2” will first air June 8, 2019 and consists of 4 episodes.
Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is cast for the lead role in movie “Typhoon Family” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Hirofumi Arai, Megumi, Tomoya Nakamura, Machiko Ono, Mahiru Coda, Erika Osanai, Ryuya Wakaba, Rumi Sakakibara and Tatsuya Fuji. The film is written and directed by Masahide Ichii (“Blindly in Love“). Story for “Typhoon Family” revolves around four siblings played by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Hirofumi Arai, Megumi and Tomoya Nakamura as they hold a fake funeral for their missing parents so they can divide up their property. Their parents robbed a bank 10 years ago and then disappeared. Filming for “Typhoon Family” took place July, 2018 in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture and Fujioka, Gunma Prefecture.
“Typhoon Family” will be released June, 2019 in Japan.
Kanata Hosoda & Nagisa Sekimizu are cast in live-action film “The World of Machida-kun” (literal title). The film is based on manga “Machida-kun no Sekai” by Yuki Ando and directed by Yuya Ishii. Kanata Hosoda will play lead male character Hajime Machida and Nagisa Sekimizu will play lead female character Nana Inohara. They were both cast after going through auditions with about 1,000 contestants taking part. Cast in supporting roles are: Takanori Iwata (“J Soul Brothers”/”EXILE”), Mitsuki Takahata, Atsuko Maeda, Taiga, Sosuke Ikematsu, Erika Toda, Koichi Sato, Yukiya Kitamura and Nanako Matsushima.
“The World of Machida-kun” will be released June 7, 2019 in Japan.
Movie “Idol,” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Sol Kyung-Gu and Chun Woo-Hee, has been invited to the Panorama section of the 69th Berlin Film Festival. The festival runs from February 7th to February 17th, 2019. “Idol” is written and directed by Lee Su-Jin. His first film “Han Gong-Ju” won numerous awards and starred Chun Woo-Hee. For his second film “Idol,” the script is a political-thriller involving a politician (Han Suk-Kyu) as he faces a crisis when his son accidentally runs someone over. Sol Kyung-Gu plays the victim’s father and Chun Woo-Hee plays a person who was with the victim at the time of the accident. Above is also the first still image from the movie.
