“Time to Hunt” won’t stream on Netflix as originally planned

Movie “Time to Hunt,” starring Lee Je-Hoon & Choi Woo-Sik, will not stream on Netflix as originally planned from April 10, 2020. Movie distribution company Contents Panda sued in the South Korean courts to stop the release on Netflix due to Contents Panda having international distribution rights for the film prior to the Netflix agreement with studio company Little Big Pictures. The decision to stream the film exclusively on Netflix worldwide came about after its original theatrical release date of February 26, 2020 in South Korea was postponed due to the COVID19 outbreak.

The film has attracted attention for its world premiere at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival and the film being the second film directed by Yoon Sung-Hyun. His first film “Bleak Night” won numerous awards after its release in 2011. Adding a little more interest to the fire is the appearance of Choi Woo-Sik, who recently co-starred in Cannes/Oscars award winning film “Parasite.”

The release date for “Time to Hunt” is now unknown.
