Nana Komatsu and Kentaro Sakaguchi are cast in movie “The Last 10 Years.” The film is based on 2007 novel “Yomei 10 Nen” by Ruka Kosaka and directed by Michihito Fujii (“The Brightest Roof in the Universe“). The novel is “inspired” by the true story of its author Ruka Kosaka, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 38. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer and poster has been added on AsianWiki. The teaser trailer begins with Kentaro Sakaguchi’s stating “She lives her last 10 years like the beginning of her life.”
“The Last 10 Years” will be released spring, 2022 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 20-year-old Matsuri Takabayashi (Nana Komatsu) learns that she only has 10 years to live due to an incurable disease. She decides to not dwell on her life and not to fall in love, but she meets Kazuto Manabe (Kentaro Sakaguchi) at a school reunion.
