Shuri is cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Monster.” The drama series is scripted by Atsuko Hashibe (“Yuria’s Red String of Fate“). Premise for the drama series will have Shuri play Ryoko Kannami. She is an unconventional lawyer who isn’t bound by common sense. This will also mark Shuri’s first time starring in a prime time drama series.
“Monster” will first air October, 2024 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 10 PM time slot after “Mountain Doctor“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ryoko Kannami (Shuri) has lived with her father since her mother died when Ryoko was young. With her excellent natural talent and by obtaining vast knowledge by attending court trials, Ryoka passed the bar exam when she was in the 3rd year of high school. After that, her father suddenly disappeared. Ryoko Kannami did not try to find out why her father disappeared and she didn’t enter the law profession. Instead, she lived by herself.
By accident, Ryoko Kannami now decides to work as a lawyer and joins a law firm. As a person who enjoys playing games, she treats each trial like it is a game. She will use any method to win her case and frequently employs unpredictable and unconventional means. She also fearlessly tackles various modern problems and derives her own unique answers.
