Sol Kyung-Gu and Jeon Do-Yeon are cast in movie “Birthday” (working and literal title). The movie is directed by first time film director Lee Jong-Eon. Lee Jong-Eon has worked under Lee Chang-Dong for his films “Poetry” (assistant director) and “Secret Sunshine” (screenplay assistant), as well Lee Chang-Dong produced film “A Brand New Life” (assistant director). For Sol Kyung-Gu and Jeon Do-Yeon they last worked together in 2001 film “I Wish I Had a Wife.” Movie “Birthday” will deal with a husband and wife who deal with the loss of their son. The script incorporates the real life tragedy of the MV Sewol ferry disaster.
Filming for “Birthday” will begin April, 2018.

Two main posters and trailer added for upcoming movie “Mothers” starring Lim Soo-Jung and Yoon Chan-Young. Movie is based on the novel “Dangshinui Bootak – My Other Mother” by Lee Dong-Eun and he also directs the film. The film follows 32-years-old Hyo-Jin (Lim Soo-Jung) who lost her husband in a car accident. His 16-year-old son Jong-Wook (Yoon Chan-Young) from another marriage then moves in with her.
“Mothers” had its world premiere at the 2017 Busan international Film Festival and will be released April 19, 2018 in South Korea.
Trailer added for movie “Duck Town” starring Lee Se-Young and Kim Hyun-Joon. Movie had its world premiere at last year’s Jeonju International Film Festival. Story for “Duck Town” is set in Daegu, South Korea. Lee Se-Young plays college student Hee-Jung. To pay for her tuition, she works at a rental duck paddle boat shop at Suseong Lake. When she falls asleep at work an accident takes place on the lake. Hee-Jung tries to cover her tracks later that night, but a man (played y Kim Hyun-Joon) catches her.

Ryoo Seung-Ryong, Lee Honey, Jin Seon-Kyu, Lee Dong-Hwi and Gong Myung are cast in new movie “Extreme Job” (literal title). The film will be directed by Lee Byeong-Hun (“What a Man Wants“).
Story for “Extreme Job” features a great premise of 5 detectives working together on a drug task force. They attempt to bust a crime organization and, to do so, they begin working undercover at a chicken restaurant. The chicken restaurant then becomes famous for its tasty chicken.
Filming for “Extreme Job” begins later this month in South Korea.

Actor Jo Min-Gi has taken his own life. He was found dead by his wife around 4PM today, March 9, 2018, in the storage area of their apartment’s underground parking lot. Around February 20, 2018, Jo Min-Gi was accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault by students he taught at Cheongju University. Police informed the media on February 21, 2018 that they would investigate the claims and OCN announced that Jo Min-Gi has dropped out of their upcoming drama series “Children of A Lesser God.” Jo Min-Gi was also scheduled to go to the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency on March 12, 2018 to answer questions regarding the sexual harassment and assault claims. Initially, Jo Min-Gi denied the sexual harassment and sexual assault claims, but he finally made an apology on February 27, 2018.
