Jung Hae-In & Kim Go-Eun cast movie “Yoo Yeol’s Music Album”

Jung Hae-In and Kim Go-Eun are now cast in upcoming movie “Yoo Yeol’s Music Album” (working and literal title). Jung Hae-In will play lead male character Hyun-Woo. He has a bright personality even though he lives in a harsh situation. Kim Go-Eun will play lead female character Mi-Soo. She lives her life diligently. Movie is set during the IMF crisis period and directed by Jung Ji-Woo (“Eungyo“).

Filming for “Yoo Yeol’s Music Album” will begin in the second half of this year and the film will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and teaser poster for movie “Intimate Strangers”

A “launching” teaser trailer and teaser poster added for movie “Intimate Strangers” starring Yu Hae-Jin, Cho Jin-Woong, Lee Seo-Jin, Yum Jung-Ah, Yoon Kyung-Ho and Kim Ji-Soo. The film is directed by Lee Jae-Kyu (“The Fatal Encounter“.) The drama-comedy film follows a group of adult friends who play a game involving their cellphones while at a dinner party.

“Intimate Strangers” will be released October, 2018 in South Korea.

Jung Yu-Mi cast in movie “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982”

Jung Yu-Mi is cast in new movie “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982” (literal title). The film is based on 2016 novel “82nyeonsaeng Kimjiyoung” by Jo Nam-Joo and directed by first time feature film director Kim Do-Young. Jung Yu-Mi will play title character Kim Ji-Young. As an ordinary Korean women, Kim Ji-Young faces gender discrimination.

Filming for “Kim Ji-Young Born 1982” will begin sometime during the first half of 2019 in South Korea.

Kim Rae-Won & Won Jin-A cast in movie “Long Live The King”

Kim Rae-Won & Won Jin-A are cast in live-action film “Long Live The King.” The movie is based on webcomic “Long Live The King” by Beodeunamoosoop. For the movie, Kim Rae-Won will play mob boss Jang Se-Chool. He is in love with a woman played by Won Jin-A. The mob boss decides to become the South Korean president to marry his love and also save the life of his friend who is on death row. Actor Cha Yub has also been cast for the supporting role of Geun-Bae. Geun-Bae is a subordinate of mob boss Jang Se-Chool. Cha Yub received the supporting character role after going through auditions involving 1500 other participants. Filming for “Long Live The King” will begin towards the end of September, 2018 and will be directed by Kang Yoon-Sung (“The Outlaws“).

“Long Live The King” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Yeo Jin-Goo & Lee Se-Young cast in tvN drama series “Masquerade”

Yeo Jin-Goo and Lee Se-Young are cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Masquerade.” The drama series is a remake of 2012 movie “Masquerade” starring Lee Byung-Hun and Han Hyo-Joo. For the drama series version, Yeo Jin-Goo will play dual roles of King Lee Hun and Clown Ha Sun. Because the King and the clown look so similar, the clown is brought to the palace to fill in for the King as potential assassination attempts on the King brew. Lee Se-Young will play the role of Queen Yoo So-Woon. The clown, who is filling in for the King, falls for the Queen.

“Masquerade” will first air January, 2019 in South Korea.

English subtitled teaser trailer for movie “The Soul-Mate”

English subtitled teaser trailer added for upcoming supernatural-comedy-drama film “The Soul-Mate” starring Ma Dong-Seok, Kim Young-Kwang and Lee Yoo-Young. The film actually has two English titles. The movie will be released in South Korea with the title of “Wonderful Ghost,” but released internationally as “The Soul-Mate.” Story follows a gym owner (Ma Dong-Seok) who sees a young man at the hospital. That young man was a police officer (Kim Young-Kwang), but is now a ghost.

“The Soul-Mate” will be released September 26, 2018 in South Korea.

Filming for movie “My Special Brother” finishes

Filming for movie “My Special Brother” (literal title) finished on August 17, 2018. Filming took about 3 months finish (filming began May 23, 2018). Meanwhile, an early special poster for the film has been released. On the cover is Se-Ha (Shin Ha-Kyun) and Dong-Goo (Lee Kwang-Soo). The two men are not blood related, but they are as close as blood related brothers and have known each other for 20 years. Movie is directed by Yook Sang-Hyo.

“My Special Brother” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
