Lee Yo-Won, Ra Mi-Ran, Myung Se-Bin, Jun cast in tvN drama series “Buam-dong Revengers”

Lee Yo-Won, Ra Mi-Ran, Myung Se-Bin, Jun are cast in tvN live-action drama series “Buam-dong Revengers” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Buam-dong Boksooja Soshyeolkeurub” by Sajatokk. Story for the drama series will follow four people who band together to carry out a plan for revenge.

“Buam-dong Revengers” will first air October, 2017 in South Korea (takes over the tvN’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “Criminal Minds“).

tvN to air drama series “Mr. Sunshine”

Cable channel tvN has picked up the rights to air upcoming drama series “Mr. Sunshine.” The drama series will air on Saturdays and Sundays at 9PM on tvN, but the exact dates has yet to be decided. The drama series features the impressive cast of Lee Byung-Hun, Kim Tae-Ri, Yoo Yeon-Seok and Byun Yo-Han. Generating almost as much excitement as the cast is the pairing of director Lee Eung-Bok and screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook, who previously worked together in hit drama series “Descendants of the Sun” and “Goblin.” “Mr Sunshine” is set in the year 1871 and centered around a Korean man who returns to the country after growing up in the United States.

Here’s two teaser posters for upcoming JTBC drama series “Age of Youth Season 2” featuring Han Ye-Ri, Han Seung-Yeon, Park Eun-Bin, Ji-Woo and Choi A-Ra.

Meanwhile, the staff is carefully monitoring the situation with supporting actor Onew from idol group ‘‘SHINee.’ An incident involving Onew occurred on August 12, 2017 at a club. Onew allegedly got drunk and inappropriately touched a woman twice. According to SM Entertainment who manages Onew, there was a misunderstanding between Onew and the woman. The woman who accused Onew of sexual harassment dropped the charge against him.

“Age of Youth Season 2” will first air August 25, 2017 in South Korea.

First script reading for MBC drama series “Borg Mom”

First script reading for upcoming MBC drama series “Borg Mom” took place August 10, 2017 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The first script read featured main cast members including Yang Dong-Geun, Park Han-Byul, Choi Yeo-Jin, Hwang Bo-Ra, Ivy, Jung Yi-Rang and Kwon Hyun-Bin. At the script reading, Director Sun Hye-Yoon stated that “I could not sleep last night, because my heart was fluttering. I hope this drama will be a memorable work for me.”  Yang Dong-Geun stated that “I think it will be a fun drama which has never been before. I am looking forwards to it and I will work hard.” Park Han-Byul stated “I feel nervous due to expectation that I have to act well, but I will do my best.

First script reading for OCN drama series “Black”

First script reading for OCN drama series “Black” took place July 24, 2017 in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members including Song Seung-Heon, Go Ara, Lee El and Kim Dong-Joon all attended. The characters they read for were Song Seung-Heon as Grim Reaper Black, Go Ara as Kang Ha-Ram, Lee El as Yoon Soo-Wan and Kim Dong-Joon as Man-Soo. The Grim Reaper Black is cold-hearted, but sometimes acts dumb. Kang Ha-Ram seems like a recluse and has a hard time communicating with other people, but she is actually tender and emotional. Yoon Soo-Wan works as an emergency room doctor and she is mysterious. Man-Soo is the son of a family that runs a large company.

“Black” first airs this October in South Korea.

Ep.1 air date set for KBS1 drama series “Andante”

Ep.1 air date for KBS1 drama series “Andante” is now set for Sunday, September 10, 2017 in South Korea. The drama series is the first KBS1 drama series to air on Sundays at 10 AM. Filming for “Andante” finished March 12, 2017. The drama series stars Kai (‘EXO-K’) as high school student Lee Shi-Kyung. He moves out to the country and learns about life and love.

Minah offered lead role in MBC drama series “I’m Not a Robot”

Minah from idol group ‘Girl’s Day’ has been offered the lead female role in new MBC drama series “I’m Not a Robot” (literal title). Currently, Minah is considering the offer. If she accepts, she will play Jo Ji-A. Her character is athletic, but not so intelligent. She is also outgoing and helps out others when they are in need. She also has a vast knowledge of cars due to her father running an auto repair shop. The lead male character in the drama series has never had a girlfriend due to his allergy of other people. He falls in love with a robot.

“I’m Not a Robot” will first air this October in South Korea (airs Wednesday and Thursday at 10PM following the conclusion of “Hospital Ship“).

Bona offered lead female role in KBS2 drama series “Lingerie Girls’ Generation”

Bona from idol group ‘WJSN’ (aka ‘Cosmic Girls’) has been offered the lead female role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Lingerie Girls’ Generation” (literal title). Lee Jong-Hyun from idol group ‘CNBLUE’ has already received an offer to play the lead male role. Both performers are now “positively considering” their offers. If Bona accepts, she will play Lee Jung-Hee. Her character is a high school student and the second daughter of a family that runs a toy factory.
