Song Kang, Lee Jin-Wook, & Lee Si-Young cast in Netflix drama series “Sweet Home”

Song KangLee Jin-Wook, and Lee Si-Young are cast in Netflix drama series “Sweet Home.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Sweet Home” by Kim Kan-Bi & Hwang Young-Chan. Song Kang will play main character Cha Hyun-Soo. He is a recluse and moves into an apartment complex after his family dies in a car accident. Then something like “Train to Busan” takes place, but set in his apartment complex. When the drama series will premiere has not yet been revealed.

Plot synopsis from AsianWiki: Cha Hyun-Soo (Song Kang) is a high school student. He is also a recluse and rarely leaves his room. He refuses to talk to his father, mother and younger sister. One day, his whole family, except for him, dies in a car accident. Cha Hyun-Soo is left all alone. He moves into a small apartment. At this time, a mysterious phenomenon of humans turning into monster occur all around the world. The residents of Cha Hyun-Soo’s apartment building, including Pyeon Sang-Wook (Lee Jin-Wook), fight against these monsters and try to survive.

First teaser trailer for SBS drama series “Dr. Romantic 2” & still images

First teaser trailer added for SBS drama series “Dr. Romantic 2” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Lee Sung-Kyung, and Ahn Hyo-Seop. The teaser trailer starts with narration by Han Suk-Kyu in which he states in Korean “Regardless of who that person is. What kind of job that person has. What position that person holds. To me that person is just a patient. I think of only thing. That is to save (that patient). No matter what, I must save.”

Meanwhile, above and below are still images from that drama series. The still images are of Han Suk-Kyu, Lee Sung-Kyung and Ahn Hyo-Seop. The still images show the scene where Cha Eun-Jae (Lee Sung-Kyung) and Seo Woo-Jin (Ahn Hyo-Seop) meet Teacher Kim (Han Suk-Kyu) for the first time. Jung Ji-So cast in tvN drama series “The Cursed”

Jung Ji-So is cast for a co-lead role in tvN drama series “The Cursed” (English title) co-starring Uhm Ji-Won. Already cast in major supporting character roles are Sung Dong-Il & Jo Min-Soo. The literal title of the drama series is “Method” (“Bangbeob”). For “The Cursed,” Jung Ji-So will play Baek So-Jin. She is teenage girl with an ability to place curses on other people. She works with Reporter Im Jin-Hee (Uhm Ji-Won) to fight against a devil (Sung Dong-Il). For Jung Ji-So, she most recently starred in Cannes Film Festival award winning film “Parasite” as the rich family’s daughter Da-Hye.

“The Cursed” first airs February, 2020 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 9:30 PM time slot after “Black Dog.”).

Lee Je-Hoon cast in Netflix drama series “Move To Heaven”

Lee Je-Hoon is cast in Netflix drama series “Move To Heaven.” The film is inspired by nonfiction essay “Ddeonan Hooe Namgyeojin Geotdeul” by Kim Shae-Byeol. The author was the first South Korean who worked to arrange items left behind by recently deceased people. For the drama series, Lee Je-Hoon will play Sang-Koo. He was imprisoned in his past for fighting in underground fights, but now works with his nephew to arrange items left by deceased people. Kim Sung-Ho (“Notebook from My Mother“) will direct the drama series and screenplay written by Yoon Ji-Ryeon (“Angel Eyes“). A time frame for when the drama series will premiere on Netflix has not been given.

Bae Doo-Na cast in tvN drama series “Stranger Season 2”

According to tvN, Bae Doo-Na is now cast in tvN drama series “Stranger Season 2” co-starring Cho Seung-Woo. The duo will reprise their respective lead roles from season 1 of “Stranger.” Most the supporting cast from season 1 will also return for season 2, but specific names were not mentioned.

Actress Park So-Dam has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Currently, both performers are considering their offers. First script reading for MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero”

First script reading for MBC drama series “The Game: Towards Zero” (literal title), starring TaecYeon, Lee Yeon-Hee, and Lim Ju-Hwan, took place recently at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. Main cast members that attended the first script reading included TaecYeon, Lee Yeon-Hee, Lim Ju-Hwan, Jeong Dong-Hwan, Park Ji-Il, Park Won-Sang, Jang So-Yeon, Choi Jae-Woong, Ryoo Hye-Rin, Shin Sung-Min and Yang Hyun-Min. Director Jang Joon-Ho and screenwriter Lee Ji-Hyo were also in attendance. Director Jang Joon-Ho stated at the script reading that after seeing everyone in the room together, he feels confident about the show’s success. The drama series will revolved around Prophet Kim Tae-Pyeong (TaecYeon ) and Detective Seo Joon-Young (Lee Yeon-Hee). They search for the truth behind a serial murderer.

“The Game: Towards Zero” is set to first air January 22, 2020 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 9PM time slot after “Love With Flaws“).
