Teaser poster for movie “The Worst Bad Guys in Japan”

Here’s the first teaser poster for upcoming movie “The Worst Bad Guys in Japan” starring Gou Ayano. Movie is based autobiographical novel “Hajisarashi Hotsukaidoukei Akutoku Keiji no Kokuhaku” by Yoshiaki Inaba and directed by Kazuya Shiraishi (“The Devil’s Path“). In movie “The Worst Bad Guys in Japan,” Gou Ayano plays Police Inspector Morohoshi. The film follows 26 years in the life of Police Inspector Morohoshi, up to his arrest for drug and gun possession. Gou Ayano gained 10 kg (22 lbs) for his role in the film.

“The Worst Bad Guys in Japan” will be released June 25, 2016 in Japan.

Kanta Sato & Reina Visa cast in live-action sequel film “Mischievous Kiss The Movie: Campus”

Kanta Sato & Reina Visa are cast in upcoming live-action sequel film “Mischievous Kiss The Movie: Campus.” The live-action sequel film follows “Mischievous Kiss The Movie: High School” which is set to be released August, 2016 in Japan.

Story for “Mischievous Kiss The Movie: Campus” has main characters Naoki Irie (Kanta Sato) & Kotoko Aihara (Reina Visa) now attending college. A new girl appears in front Naoki, Yuko Matsumoto (casting not yet finalized), which causes friction between Naoki and Kotoko.

Filming for “Mischievous Kiss The Movie: Campus” begins April, 2016.

Sota Fukushi & Nana Komatsu cast in movie “Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru”

Sota Fukushi & Nana Komatsu are cast in movie “Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru.” The film is based on 2014 novel “Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru” by Takafumi Nanatsuki and directed by Takahiro Miki (“We Were There“/”Hot Road“).

In movie “Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru,” university student Takatoshi Minamiyama (Sota Fukushi) sees Emi Fukuju (Nana Komatsu) and falls in love. The two begin to date and enjoy their time together, but Emi Fukuju reveals her secret to Takatoshi Minamiyama.

“Boku wa Ashita, Kinou no Kimi to Date Suru” will be released December, 2016 in Japan.

Tao Tsuchiya, Ryoma Takeuchi & Shono Hayama cast in live-action film “Yell For The Blue Sky”

Tao Tsuchiya, Ryoma Takeuchi & Shono Hayama are cast in upcoming live-action film “Yell For The Blue Sky.” The movie is based on manga series “Aozora Yell” by Kazune Kawahara and directed by Takahiro Miki (“We Were There“/”Hot Road“). In movie “Yell For The Blue Sky,” Tao Tsuchiya plays Tsubasa Ono. Her character wanted to attend Shirato High School after watching the school’s brass band cheer on its baseball team during the Koshien baseball team tournament. Now, she is a first year student at the high school and a member of its brass band. She then meets Daisuke Yamada (Ryoma Takeuchi) who is member of the school’s baseball team.

“Yell For The Blue Sky” will be released sometime in August, 2016 in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming film “Mitsu no Aware” starring Fumi Nikaido, Ren Osugi & Yoko Maki. The film is based on novel “Mitsu no Ahare” by Saisei Muro and directed by Gakuryu Ishii (“Isn’t Anyone Alive?“). Premise for the film centers around a reddish goldfish who is able to change into a girl (Fumi Nikaido), a writer (Ren Osugi) and the ghost (Yoko Maki) of a woman the writer once knew.

“Mitsu no Aware” will be released April 1, 2016 in Japan.

Here’s the first still image Shun Oguri in upcoming live-action film “Terra Formars” directed by Takashi Miike. The still image is of a scene with Ko Honda (Shun Oguri) meeting candidates to become crew members including Shokichi Komachi (Hideaki Ito). The backdrop of the streets in Japan have turned into a slum due to the disparity between the rich and poor. Meanwhile, the selected crew members will make a trip to Mars to take out giant mutated cockroaches that are able to walk.

Tsubasa Honda & Mizuki Yamamoto cast in movie “Girls”

Actresses Tsubasa Honda & Mizuki Yamamoto are cast in movie “Girls” (literal title). The film is based on the novel “Shojo” by Kanae Minato (“Confessions“) and directed by Yukiko Mishima (“Bread of Happiness“). Premise for the film follow two girls who volunteer for the summer at a paediatrics ward and a nursing home. The girls volunteer in hopes of seeing a person’s death. They have their own reasons why. “Girls” will be released sometime during this fall in Japan.
