Yurina Hirate cast in live-action film “Hibiki”

Yurina Hirate (‘Keyakizaka46’) is cast for the lead role in live-action film “Hibiki.” Also cast in supporting roles are Keiko KitagawaAyaka Wilson, Masanobu Takashima, Yuya Yagira, Toru Nomaguchi, Kazushige Komatsu, Daisuke Kuroda and Mizuki Itagaki. Movie is based on manga series “Hibiki: Shousetsuka ni Naru Houhou” by Mitsuharu Yanamoto and directed by Sho Tsukikawa (“Let Me Eat Your Pancreas“). The film follows 15-year-old Hibiki Akui (Yurina Hirate) as she submits a manuscript for a rookie of the year novel award and an editor (Keiko Kitagawa) that takes an interest in her novel.

“Hibiki” will be released September 14, 2018 in Japan via Toho.

Trailer for movie “Uma no Hone”

Trailer for movie “Uma no Hone” starring Fujiko Kojima and Koji Kiryu. Movie is also written and directed by Koji Kiryu. The film follows a former punk rock singer (now a middle-aged man) and an idol group member who wants to become a singer-songwriter.

“Uma no Hone” will be released June 2, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Kyoukaishi”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Kyoukaishi” starring the last Ren Osugi. The film features the last acting performance by Ren Osugi before he passed away on February 21, 2018 of a heart attack. The film also has Ren Osugi working as a producer for the first time in his career. In the movie “Kyoukaishi.”  Ren Osugi plays a prison chaplain. He works with death-row inmates. Movie is written and directed by Dai Sako.

“Kyoukaishi” will be released October 6, 2018 in Japan.

Trailer for movie “Code Blue”

Trailer for movie “Code Blue” starring Tomohisa Yamashita, Yui Aragaki, Erika Toda, Manami Higa and Yosuke Asari. Movie is a sequel to the Fuji TV drama series “Code Blue.” The trailer also features the movie’s theme song which is “Hanabi” by Japanese pop-rock band “Mr.Children.” Lastly Mackenyu Arata, Rino Katase and Kasumi Yamayaare cast in supporting roles for the film and they will play characters that did not appear in any of the Fuji TV drama series versions.

“Code Blue” will be released July 27, 2018 in Japan.
