Teaser trailer & teaser poster for Netflix drama “Glass Heart”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix drama series “Glass Heart” starring Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, & Jun Shison. In addition to the teaser poster, 6 character posters consisting of Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, Jun Shison, Masaki Suda, and Reini are also released. The drama series revolves around a new band named TENBLANK played by Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki , Keita Machida, and Jun Shison. They have a rival band named OVER CHROME with members played by Masaki Suda and Reini. Newly announced cast members to play supporting roles in the drama series are  Erika Karata, Pistol Takehara, Akari Takaishi, You, Naohito Fujiki, Takayuki Yamada, and Reini.

“Glass Heart” will be available to stream from July 31, 2025.

Fumino Kimura and Raul cast in Fuji TV drama “Ai no, Gakko”

Fumino Kimura and Raul are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Ai no, Gakko.” Drama series features an original screenplay by Yumiko Inoue and directed by Hiroshi Nishitani. Screenwriter Yumiko Inoue and Director Hiroshi Nishitani has previously worked together in 2019 Fuji TV drama series “Sherlock: Untold Stories,” 2014 Fuji TV drama series “Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon,” 2005 Fuji TV drama series “Engine,” 2003 Fuji TV drama series “The Great White Tower,” and 2017 movie “Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon.” In “Ai no, Gakko,” Fumino Kimura will play high school teacher Manami Ogawa and Raul will play host bar worker Kawol. They meet through circumstances and develop a romantic relationship. For actor Raul, this will mark his first time starring in a prime time drama series and a Fuji TV drama series.

“Ai no, Gakko” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Thursday 10PM time slot after “A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You“).

Jun Matsumoto is cast in TBS drama series “The 19th Medical Chart.” The drama series is based on webcomic “19 Banme no Karte” by Katsuhito Fujiya. For Jun Matsumoto, the drama series will mark his first time playing a doctor in his 30 year acting career. Jun Matsumoto will play Akira Tokushige in “The 19th Medical Chart.” He works as a general practitioner and relies on conversations with his patients to find out what is best for them.

Haruka Fukuhara and Kento Hayashi are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Ashita wa Motto, Ii Hi ni Naru.” The drama series features an original screenplay that is set at a child guidance center. Haruka Fukuhara will play Tsubasa Natsui. She worked as a detective at a local precinct, but is transferred to the child guidance center. Kento Hayashi will play Sosuke Kurata. He works at the child guidance center and becomes a mentor to Tsubasa Natsui.

Nao cast in WOWOW drama “Beauty Salon in Prison”

Actress Nao is cast in WOWOW drama series “Beauty Salon in Prison.” The drama series is based on 2018 novel “Hei no Naka no Biyoshitsu” by Mina Sakurai, which was also adapted into a manga series in 2020. The premise of a beauty salon in a women’s prison that the novel depicts is based on real beauty salons that exists in several women’s prison in Japan. Nao will play Haru Komatsubara. She cuts the hair of ordinary citizens at a beauty salon within a women’s prison.

“Beauty Salon in Prison” consists of 7 episodes and will first air August 22, 2025 in Japan.

Kaya Kiyohara, Ryo Narita, and Na In-Woo are cast in TBS drama series “Hatsukoi Dogs.” The drama series is based on South Korean webcomic “Doghan Romance” by Bo-Hyun and also marks the first time for actor Na In-Woo to appear in a Japanese drama series. The drama series will revolve around a love triangle between a divorce lawyer (Kaya Kiyohara), veterinarian (Ryo Narita), and a chaebol man (Na In-Woo), but with a strange twist.

Kaito Takahashi & Tomoya Nakamura is cast in TBS drama series “DOPE.” The drama series is based on novel “DOPE: Mayaku Torishimaribu Tokusoka” by Chiaki Kisaki, with screenplay adaptation written by Shinichi Tanaka (“The Men of the Wada Family“), and director Kosuke Suzuki (“Hustlin Boy“). Background of the drama series is set in the near future, when a new drug known as DOPE becomes rampant. Two members, played by Kaito Takahashi & Tomoya Nakamura, of the Special Investigation Unit of the Narcotics Control Department work together to eradicate the drug.

Issey Takahashi cast in WOWOW drama “1972 Nagisa no Keika”

Issey Takahashi is cast in WOWOW drama series “1972 Nagisa no Keika.” Drama series is based on 2022 novel “Nagisa no Keika” by Izumi Sakagami and directed by Hideyuki Hirayama (“Everest: The Summit of the Gods“). The story for the drama series is set in the year 1972 in Okinawa, right before rule of the area is returned to Japan from a special U.S. civil administration. At that time, a car carrying one million U.S. dollars is attacked and disappears. Issey Takahashi will play Taichi Maeda. He leads a special investigation team that must solve the case in 18 days, before rule of the area is returned to Japan.

“1972 Nagisa no Keika” will air sometime this fall in Japan.
