Kaho and Ryoma Takeuchi cast in TBS drama “Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo”

Kaho and Ryoma Takeuchi are cast in TBS drama series “Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo.” The romantic-comedy drama series is based on manga series “Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo” by Natsuko Taniguchi. Setup for the drama series will have Kaho play Ayumi Yamagishi. She lives with her boyfriend Katsuo Ebihara (Ryoma Takeuchi). She always cooks for her boyfriend and puts him first, while he is a more traditional kind of guy, who thinks women should always cook. He then proposes to Ayumi Yamagishi, but she declines.

“Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo” will first air October, 2025 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Tuesday 22:00 time slot after “Love is for the Dogs“).

Teaser trailer & teaser poster for Netflix drama “Alice in Borderland: Season 3”

Teaser trailer and teaser poster added for Netflix drama series “Alice in Borderland: Season 3” starring Kento Yamazaki & Tao Tsuchiya. Drama series is based on “Imawa no Kuni no Arisu” by Haro Aso and takes place four years after Netflix drama series “Alice in Borderland: Season 2.” Supporting cast members for the drama series has also been announced. Returning cast members include Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, & Katsuya Maiguma. Playing new supporting characters in season 3 are Koji Ookura, Risa Sudo, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Yugo Mikawa, Joey Iwanaga, Akana Ikeda, & Kento Kaku.

“Alice in Borderland: Season 3” will be available to stream from September 25, 2025.

Trailer and poster for Netflix drama “Glass Heart”

Trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Glass Heart” starring Takeru Satoh and Yu Miyazaki. The music themed drama series is based on novel “Glass Heart” by Mio Wakagi. The main cast (Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, Jun Shison, and Masaki Suda) has reportedly spent over a year learning their instruments & singing to portray the fictional band TENBLANK in the movie. Meanwhile, the trailer also features for the first time the track “Glass Heart” that was composed by musician Yojiro Noda and performed by actor Takeru Satoh. That track appears in the second half of the main trailer.

“Glass Heart” will be available to stream from July 31, 2025 in Japan.

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama “Shumaku no Rondo”

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Shumaku no Rondo.” The original screenplay is written by Miyuki Takahashi (“Hibana: Spark“) and directed by Tadaaki Horai & Yoshishige Miyake. Directors Tadaaki Horai & Yoshishige Miyake previously worked with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi in 2023 Fuji TV-KTV drama series “War of Traps.” For actor Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, “Shumaku no Rondo” will be his 9th KTV drama series and 10th if including his 2013 drama special “Kamisama no Berebou.” In the upcoming drama series, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi will play a man who works as an estate cleaner. More details about the drama series will be revealed at a later date.

“Shumaku no Rondo” will first air October, 2025 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 10 PM time slot after “Bokutachi wa Mada Sono Hoshi no Kosoku wo Shiranai“).

Naohito Fujiki and Mai Shiraishi are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Saigo no Kanteinin.” Drama series is based on 2022 novel “Saigo no Kanteinin” by Keiya Iwai and screenplay adaptation written by Takuro Oikawa (“Rikon Bengoshi Spider“). The two leads will play partners at a private office who receive difficult to solve cases from the police. One is an eccentric expert and the other is an eccentric researcher.

Marika Matsumoto & Ken Yasuda cast in TV Asahi drama “Ubai Ai, Manatsu”

Marika Matsumoto & Ken Yasuda are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Ubai Ai, Manatsu.” The drama series is scripted by Osamu Suzuki. Osamu Suzuki previously wrote the screenplays for 2017 TV Asahi drama series “Ubai Ai, Fuyu” (“Winter, Grasping Love“) and 2021 TV Asahi drama series “Ubai Ai, Koko Kyoshi.” For “Ubai Ai, Manatsu,” Marika Matsumoto will play Manatsu Umino. She starts a new life after breaking up with her boyfriend and starting a new job at a watch company. She meets the CEO (played by Ken Yasuda) of the watch company on her first day of her work and she is surprised that he resembles her ex-boyfriend so much.

Kazuya Ohashi and Nagisa Shibuya are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Revenge Spy.” Drama series features an original screenplay by Yuko Matsuda (“Hanasaki Mai Speaks Out“) that tells a spy + romantic-comedy story. Kazuya Ohashi will play Yuga Sugawara. He is naturally a cheerful and affable person and he uses that at his workplace to make connections. He is also secretly working as a spy to gain information on his brother’s death that he believes is related to the company where he works. He then meets the daughter of the company president and falls in love with her. The daughter, Hana Imuta, is played by Nagisa Shibuya.

“Revenge Spy” will first air July 5, 2025 (takes over TV Asahi’s Saturday 11 PM time slot after “Musashino Rondo“).

Nao Omori, Masaki Aiba, & Nao Matsushita are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Daitsuiseki.” The drama series is scripted by Yasushi Fukuda (“Galileo“) and will be directed by Naomi TamuraKeisuke Toyoshima, & Takashi Komatsu. Story for “Daitsuiseki” will be set at the newly created SSBC violent crimes unit. The department provides support for the First Criminal Investigation Division by analyzing CCTV footage, examining cellphones and computers, and criminal profiling.

Takumi Saito & Yuno Nagao cast in TV Asahi drama “The Kidnapping Day”

Takumi Saito and Yuno Nagao are cast in TV Asahi drama series “The Kidnapping Day” (literal title). Drama series is based on 2019 South Korean novel “Yoogweui Nal” by Jung Hae-Yeon, which was previously adapted into 2023 ENA drama series “The Kidnapping Day.” In the drama series, Takumi Saito will play Masamune Shinjo. He’s not the smartest person in the world, but he has big heart. He attempts to kidnap Rin Nanase (Yuno Nagao), the daughter of a wealthy hospital director, to pay for his own daughter’s heart surgery. Meanwhile, Rin Nanase is a genius, but she loses her memory on the day of the kidnapping attempt.

Hayato Isomura, Mayu Hotta, & Goro Inagaki are cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Bokutachi wa Mada Sono Hoshi no Kosoku wo Shiranai.” Drama series features an original screenplay by Mika Omori (“Pool“). For the drama series, Hayato Isomura will play Kenji Shiratori. He works as a lawyer for a small law firm and gets assigned to work as school lawyer.
