Kyoko Fukada cast in TBS live-action drama series “A Story To Read On The Day You’ve Fell In Love”

Kyoko Fukada is cast in TBS live-action drama series “A Story To Read On The Day You’ve Fell In Love” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Kento Nagayama, Ryusei Yokohama and Tomoya Nakamura. The drama series is based on manga “Hajimete Koi o Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi” by Aki Mochida and directed by Ryosuke Fukuda. For the drama series, Kyoko Fukada will play main character Junko Harumi. Her life has not gone well since she failed her college entrance exam. She now works at a private institute when she meets 3 men.

Mitsuki Takahata cast in TBS drama series “Maison de Police”

Mitsuki Takahata is cast in new TBS drama series “Maison de Police.” The drama series is based on 2018 novel “Maison de Police” by Miaki Kato and directed by Yuichi Sato. Also cast in supporting roles are Hidetoshi Nishijima, Fumiyo Kohinata, Goro Noguchi, Takuzo Kadono and Masaomi Kondo. in drama series “Maison de Police,” Mitsuki Takahata will play rookie detective Hiyori Makino. She investigates a murder case that may be a copycat crime from 5 years earlier.

“Maison de Police” first airs January, 2019 in Japan.

Yoko Maki cast in NHK drama special “Flaming Attorney”

Yoko Maki is cast for the lead role new NHK drama special “Flaming Attorney” (literal title of “Enjo Bengonin”). Also cast in supporting roles are Riisa Naka, Takanori Iwata, Amane Okayama, Hairi Katagiri, Rumiko Koyanagi, Ryudo Uzaki and Yukiyoshi Ozawa. In the drama special, Yoko Maki plays Miho Watarai. She works as an attorney and runs her office out of the second floor of her parents’ house. The drama special is directed by Tomochika Kasaura and scripted by Yumiko Inoue.

“Flaming Attorney” will air December 15, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser poster for WOWOW drama series “A Lone Scalpel”

Here’s a teaser visual for upcoming WOWOW drama series “A Lone Scalpel” starring Hideaki Takizawa. The teaser visual also reveals that “A Lone Scalpel” will first air January, 2019 in Japan. The drama series is based on novel “Kokou no Mesu: Gekai Toma Tetsuhiko“ by Roran Takayama and follows 2010 film “A Lone Scalpel” which is also based on the same novel. Drama series “A Lone Scalpel” will consist of 8 episodes and air on Sundays at 10PM.

Teaser poster and supporting cast for NTV drama series “Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desuka?”

Teaser poster added for upcoming NTV drama series “Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desuka?” starring King & Prince members Kaito Takahashi, Yuta Jinguji & Genki Iwahashi. In addition, Shintaro Morimoto (‘SixTONES’), Hiroki Nakajima, Kazuki Horike, Kotone Furukawa and Kotaro Yoshida are all cast in supporting roles for the drama series. “Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desuka?” is based on webcomic  “Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desuka?” by Katsuki Izumi. The drama series will follow three friends who are members of their school’s soccer club.

Elaiza Ikeda cast in TBS-MBS drama series “Room Laundering”

Elaiza Ikeda is cast in TBS-MBS drama series “Room Laundering.” The drama series is a sequel to 2018 movie “Room Laundering” starring Elaiza Ikeda. Also set to return in the drama series version are Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Kentaro Ito, Tomorowo Taguchi and Joe Odagiri. Meanwhile, Eita Okuno will play a new character not found in the original movie. The drama series will be directed by Kenji Katagiri who directed the movie version.

“Room Laundering” will first air November 4, 2018 on MBS and November 6, 2018 on TBS in Japan.

Hiroshi Tamaki cast in WOWOW drama series “Nusumareta Kao”

Hiroshi Tamaki is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Nusumareta Kao.” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Nusumareta Kao” by Keisuke Hada. For the drama series, Hiroshi Tamaki will play Takamasa Shirato. He works as a detective, but catches criminals solely by their faces. Sayaka Yamaguchi is cast in NTV-YTV drama series “Black Scandal.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Tomoharu Sato and directed by Makoto Naganuma. In the drama series, Sayaka Yamaguchi plays actress Sara Fujisaki. Her career and personal life is ruined by false reports of her having an affair. 5 years later, she takes a new identity and works at the management company where she was once a client to get revenge.
