Teaser posters for tvN drama “Jeong-Nyeon: The Star is Born”

Two teaser posters added for tvN drama series “Jeong-Nyeon: The Star is Born” starring Kim Tae-Ri, Shin Ye-Eun, & Ra Mi-Ran. The upcoming drama series is based on webcomic “Jeongnyeonyi” and is set in the 1950’s. Kim Tae-Ri plays title character Yoon Jeong-Nyeon, who tries to become a star. in the drama series. Caption on the first teaser poster states “The story of a brilliant singing performer who had endured a difficult world” and caption on the second teaser poster states “In the theater, which is an entirely different world, I want to become a star!”

“Jeong-Nyeon: The Star is Born” first airs October 12, 2024 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9:20 PM time slot after “Love Next Door“).

Ju Ji-Hoon & Jung Yu-Mi cast in tvN drama “Love on a Single Tree Bridge”

Ju Ji-Hoon and Jung Yu-Mi are cast in tvN drama series “Love on a Single Tree Bridge” (literal title). The romance themed drama series is scripted by Im Ye-Jin (“The Tale of Nokdu“) and directed by Park Joon-Hwa (“Because This Is My First Life“). Story for “Love on a Single Tree Bridge” will have Ju Ji-Hoon and Jung Yu-Mi play two people who were hometown rivals as teens, meet again as adults when they work at the same school.

“Love on a Single Tree Bridge” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Trailer for tvN-TVING drama “No Gain No Love”

Trailer added for tvN-TVING drama series “No Gain No Love” starring Shin Min-A & Kim Young-Dae. The upcoming romantic-comedy drama series revolves around a fake marriage that takes place between Son Hae-Young (Shin Min-A) and Kim Ji-Wook (Kim Young-Dae). Meanwhile, below are still images of Shin Min-A and supporting actresses Han Ji-Hyun, & Joo Min-Kyung. Han Ji-Hyun will play Nam Ja-Yeon. She is a writer of 19+ web novels. Joo Min-Kyung will play Cha Hee-Sung. She is a voice actress and best friend of Son Hae-Young for 20 years. Han Ji-Hyun will also star in the upcoming spin-off of “No Gain No Love” titled “Spice Up Our Love.”

The romantic-comedy is directed by Yoo Je-Won and scripted by Shin Ha-Eun. The director and screenwriter previously worked together 2021 tvN drama series “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”

Mun Ka-Young and Choi Hyun-Wook cast in tvN drama “That Man Is Black Salt Dragon”

Mun Ka-Young and Choi Hyun-Wook are cast in tvN drama series “That Man Is Black Salt Dragon” (literal title). The drama series is based on  webcomic “Geunomeun Heukyeomryong” by Hyejinyang and directed by Lee Soo-Hyun (“Delightfully Deceitful“). For the upcoming drama series, Mun Ka-Young and Choi Hyun-Wook will play two people who meet for the first time in 16 years. Mun Ka-Young works as a planning team leader for a department store and Choi Hyun-Wook will play the director of that division.

“That Man Is Black Salt Dragon” will first air sometime in the first half of 2025.

Drama series “Serendipity’s Embrace” to air on tvN

Upcoming drama series “Serendipity’s Embrace,” starring Kim So-Hyun, Chae Jong-Hyeop, Yun Ji-On, and Kim Da-Som, is now set to air on tvN from July 22, 2024 in South Korea. The drama series will move into tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 8:50 PM time slot after the conclusion of “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers.” “Serendipity’s Embrace” features a romance screenplay that is based on webcomic “Wooyeonilgga?” by Nam Ji-Eun & Kim In-Ho.
