Filming for movie “Be With You” finishes

Filming for romance film “Be With You,” starring So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin, finished November 12, 2017 in Daejeon, South Korea. Filming took about 3 months to complete. The still image above of So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin is the first still image released for the upcoming film. Movie “Be With You” is based on 2003 Japanese novel “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu” by Takuji Ichikawa. The novel was previously adapted into 2004 film “Be with You” (starring Shido Nakamura and Yuko Takeuchi) and 2005 TBS drama series “Be With You” (starring Hiroki Narimiya and Mimura).

“Be With You” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

So Ji-Sub & Son Ye-Jin cast in movie “Be with You”

So Ji-Sub & Son Ye-Jin are now cast in remake film “Be with You.” Movie is based novel “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu” by Takuji Ichikawa, which was previously adapted into 2004 film “Be with You” and 2005 TBS drama series “Be With You.” Also cast in supporting roles are Kim Ji-Hwan, Ko Chang-Seok, Lee Joon-Hyuk and Son Yeo-Eun. Story for the film revolves around a father (So Ji-Sub) and his son Ji-Ho (Kim Ji-Hwan). The wife (Son Ye-Jin) passed away, but promised she would be back on a rainy day one year later.

Filming for “Be with You” began August 12, 2017 and the movie will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Here’s 5 character posters for upcoming film “The Battleship Island.” The character posters are of Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub, Song Joong-Ki, Lee Jung-Hyun and Kim Soo-Ahn. They play characters from different backgrounds that are brought onto The Battleship Island to mine for coal during the Japanese colonial era in South Korea. Movie is directed by Ryoo Seung-Wan.

New teaser poster and commentary trailer for movie “The Battleship Island”

New teaser poster and commentary trailer added for upcoming movie “The Battleship Island” starring Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub & Song Joong-Ki. The highly anticipated summer blockbuster film is directed by Ryoo Seung-Wan. The new teaser poster depicts Korean people trying desperately to escape from Battleship Island. The caption on the poster states “Year 1945 Japanese colonial era, Hell Island is worse than Hell, we want to live.” The commentary trailer (unfortunately not English subtitled) features commentary by Ryoo Seung-Wan, Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub, Song Joong-Ki, Lee Jung-Hyun and Kim Soo-Ahn as well as footage from the film.

So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin offered lead roles in movie “Be With You”

So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin have been offered the lead roles in new movie “Be With You.” Currently, they are both currently “positively considering” the offers. The movie is based on 2003 Japanese novel “Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu” by Takuji Ichikawa. The novel itself has been previously adapted into popular 2004 movie “Be with You” starring Yuko Takeuchi and Shido Nakamura and then 2005 TBS drama series “Be With You” starring Mimura and Hiroki Narimiya. If So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin accepts their offers, it will be the first time for them to work together since 2001 MBC drama series “Delicious Proposal.”

Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub, Song Joong-Ki cast in movie “Battleship Island”

Actors Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub & Song Joong-Ki are cast in new movie “Battleship Island” (literal title) directed by Ryoo Seung-Wan (“Veteran“). Story for “Battleship Island” is set in the early 20th century, when South Korea is under Japanese occupation. Some 400 Koreans are forced onto Battleship Island to mine for coal. The official name of Battleship Island is Hashima Island and the island picked up the nickname of Battleship Island due to its shape resembling a battelship. Hwang Jung-Min plays Lee Kang-Ok. His character was deceived into going to Battleship Island. He has a daughter which he does anything to protect. So Ji-Sub plays Choi Chil-Sung. His character is a top fighter. He makes trouble on Battleship Island. Song Jong-Ki plays Park Moo-Young. His character belongs to the Korean Independence group. He attempts to rescue a fellow member on Battleship Island.

“Battleship Island” will be released sometime in 2017 in South Korea.
