First still images of Joo Won and Oh Yeon-Seo in SBS drama series “My Sassy Girl”

Here’s the first still images of Joo Won and Oh Yeon-Seo in upcoming SBS drama series “My Sassy Girl.” The drama series is based on 2001 movie “My Sassy Girl,” but based in a historical setting. In the drama series, Joo Won plays Gyun-Woo. His character is scripted as being cold-hearted, smart and attractive. Oh Yeon-Seo will play Princess Hyemyung. She is pretty, but she is also a troublemaker and sometimes does strange things.

“My Sassy Girl” will air sometime in the first half of 2017 in South Korea.

Oh Yeon-Seo cast in movie “Cheese in the Trap”

Oh Yeon-Seo is cast for the lead female role in upcoming movie “Cheese in the Trap” co-starring Park Hae-Jin. Movie is based on popular webcomic “Cheese in the Trap” by Soon Ggi which was previously adapted in 2016 tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.”  For the movie version, Oh Yeon-Seo will play Hong Seol. Initially, the movie planned on selecting the lead actress through auditions, but after an unsatisfactory initial round the auditions were cancelled.

The director for “Cheese in the Trap” will be decided by September, 2016 and filming will begin February, 2017.

Kim Joo-Hyun out as lead actress in SBS drama series “My Sassy Girl”

Actress Kim Joo-Hyun who won the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “My Sassy Girl” co-starring Joo Won through an audition, will no longer play the lead female character. Kim Joo-Hyun has now been offered the role of major supporting character Jung Da-Yeon. Kim Joo-Hyun will decide over the next few days whether to completely drop out of the project or play major supporting character Jung Da-Yeon. The character of Jung Da-Yeon will have a major crush on Gyun-Woo (Joo Won). Exact reason why Kim Joo-Hyun declined the lead role is not known, but it appears SBS wanted a more established actress to play the lead female character.

Now, actress Oh Yeon-Seo has been offered the lead female role and she is currently considering the offer. The lead female character is Princess Hyemyung. She is a trouble maker for the royal family.

“My Sassy Girl” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Come Back Mister”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Come Back Mister” took place back on December 22, 2015 at SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. At the first script reading main cast members including Rain, Lee Min-Jung, Oh Yeon-Seo, Yoon Park, Lee Tae-Hwan and Lee Ha-Nui were all in attendance. The first script reading took about 5 hours to finish.

Teaser trailer for SBS drama series “Come Back Mister”

First teaser trailer for upcoming SBS drama series “Come Back Mister” starring Rain, Lee Min-Jung and Oh Yeon-Seo. The first teaser trailer features mostly supporting cast members with Lee Min-Jung briefly shown. Drama series “Come Back Mister” is based on Japanese novel “Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan” by Jiro Asada which was previously adapted into the 2006 film “Tsubakiyama kacho no nanoka-kan” and 2009 TV Asahi drama special “Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan.”

“Come Back Mister” first airs February 24, 2016 in South Korea.

Filming finishes for movie “Take Off 2”

Filming finished January 14, 2016 for upcoming film “Take Off 2” starring Soo-Ae, Oh Dal-Su, Oh Yeon-Seo, Kim Seul-Gi, Jin Ji-Hee. Filming took about 3 months to complete. Like its predecessor, 2009 box-office hit “Take Off,” movie follows a newly formed national Korean team as they prepare to take part in international competition. This time around, the team consists of women, as they form the country’s first female national ice hockey team.

In the film, Soo-Ae will star as Ji-Won. Her character is North Korean defector. She played on the national women’s ice hockey for North Korea.

Oh Dal-Su will play the coach for the national women’s ice hockey team.

Oh Yeon-Seo will play a character who was kicked off the short track team and decides to join the women’s ice hockey team.

Release date for “Take Off 2” will take place sometime this year in South Korea.

first script reading for SBS drama series “Hello My Precious Person”

First script reading for upcoming SBS drama series “Hello My Precious Person” (literal title) took place December 22, 2015 in South Korea. The drama series stars Rain, Oh Yeon-Seo and Lee Min-Jung and is based on 2001 Japanese novel “Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan” by Jiro Asada. The novel was previously adapted into 2006 film “Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan” and 2009 TV Asahi drama special “Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan.”

In drama series “Hello My Precious Person,” Rain plays department store manager Lee Hae-Joon. His body is possessed by a man who was previously worked to death. Oh Yeon-Seo plays a beautiful woman who is possessed by the spirit of a tough guy played by Kim Su-Ro. Lee Min-Jung plays a widow who falls into a love triangle with Lee Hae-Joon and another employee at the department store.

“Hello My Precious Person” first airs March, 2016 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Wednesday and Thursday 9:55 PM time slot after “Remember“).
