Teaser trailer #3 for JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” starring Lim Soo-Hyang,Cha Eun-Woo and Jo Woo-Ri. Teaser trailer #3 provides background on main character Kang Mi-Rae (Lim Soo-Hyang) prior to her having plastic surgery. She states in Korean at the end of the trailer “New face, new life, I want to have a happy university life.” Drama series is based on webcomic “Nae IDneun Gangnammiin” by Gi Maeng-Gi

First script reading for JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”

First script reading for JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” took place May 30, 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members Lim Soo-Hyang, Cha Eun-Woo (‘Astro’), Jo Woo-RiKwak Dong-Yeon, Park Joo-MiMin Do-Hee and Woo Hyeon all attended. The director of the drama series Choi Sung-Bum stated that the story is about the growth of a woman after going through plastic surgery and experiencing new things at a university.

Lim Soo-Hyang and Cha Eun-Woo cast in JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”

Lim Soo-Hyang and Cha Eun-Woo (‘Astro’) are cast for lead roles in JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Nae IDneun Gangnammiin” by Gi Maeng-Gi. For the drama series, Lim Soo-Hyang will play Kang Mi-Rae. She was bullied when she was younger due to her ugly apperance, but she underwent plastic surgery and completely changed. She starts her first year in college. Other students there begin to call her the derogatory name “Gangnam Beauty.” Cha Eun-Woo will play Do Kyung-Seok. He is a college student and popular with the ladies. He graduated from the same middle school as Kang Mi-Rae.

“My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” first airs July, 2018 (takes over JTBC’s Friday and Saturday 11PM time slot after “Sketch“).

Lim Soo-Hyang offered lead role in JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”

Lim Soo-Hyang has been offered the lead female role in new JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Nae IDneun Gangnammiin” by Gi Maeng-Gi. Currently, Lim Soo-Hyang is “positively considering” the offer. If she accepts, she will play Kang Mi-Rae. When her character was growing up, she was often teased and bullied for her unattractive appearance. Before entering college, she underwent plastic surgery and became beautiful, but people are still mean to her and call her “Gangnam Beauty” (fake beauty). She meets a guy at school named Do Kyung-Seok who doesn’t care about her appearance.

“My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Lim Soo-Hyang & Do Ji-Han cast in KBS1 drama series “The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed”

Lim Soo-Hyang & Do Ji-Han are cast in new weekday evening KBS1 drama series “The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed” (literal title). Actress Nam Bo-Ra has been offered a major supporting character role and she is considering the offer positively. Story for the drama series is set around a police precinct office and both Lim Soo-Hyang and Do Ji-Han will play police officers.

“The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS1’s Monday-Friday 8:25PM time slot after “The Shining Eun-Soo“).
