Lim Soo-Hyang cast in MBC drama “Dr. Lawyer”

Lim Soo-Hyang is cast for the lead female role in MBC drama series “Dr. Lawyer” starring So Ji-Sub. For “Dr. Lawyer,” Lim Soo-Hyang will play Geum Seok-Young. She works as a prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office and deals with medical cases. In her past, she lost a family member and a lover due to a surgery performed by Han Yi-Han (So Ji-Sub). 

“Dr. Lawyer” will air sometime in the first half of 2022 in South Korea.

Lim Soo-Hyang & Sung Hoon cast in drama “From Today We Are”

Lim Soo-Hyang & Sung Hoon are cast for lead roles in new drama series “From Today We Are” (literal title of “Oneulbuteo Woorineun”). Also cast in the drama series are Shin Dong-Wook & Hong Ji-Yoon. The drama series is a remake of U.S. television series “Jane the Virgin,” that aired on The CW from 2014 to 2019. In “From Today We Are,” Lim Soo-Hyang will play lead female character Oh Woo-Ri. She hopes to keep her virginity until she marries, but she gets accidentally pregnant due to an accidental artificial insemination by a doctor. Sung Hoon will play Raphael. He is the biological father of Oh Woo-Ri’s baby.

Air date and exact network for the drama series has not yet been decided.

First script reading for MBC drama series “When I Was The Prettiest”

First script reading for MBC drama series “When I Was The Prettiest” (literal title), starring Lim Soo-Hyang & Ji Soo, took place April, 2020 at MBC Ilsan Dream Center in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Those attended the script reading included Lim Soo-Hyang, Ji Soo, Ha Seok-Jin, Hwang Seung-Un, Park Ji-Young, Kim Mi-Kyung, Choi Jong-Hwan, Lee Jae-Yong, Jung Eun-Pyo, and Shin Yi. Drama series director Oh Kyung-Hoon and screenwriter Jo Hyoun-Kyoung were in attendance. Director Oh Kyung-Hoon stated at the first script reading “I hope we unite together as a team for half a year and work under a good mood. I hope we will produce good results while working together.”

“When I Was The Prettiest” will first air August, 2020 (takes over MBC’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30 PM time slot after “United Effort to Accomplish One Thing.”).

Lim Soo-Hyang and Ji Soo are cast for lead roles in MBC drama series “When I Was The Prettiest” (literal title). Ha Seok-Jin and Hwang Seung-Un are also cast in the drama series for major supporting character roles. The basic premise follows a woman played by Lim Soo-Hyang who falls in love with two brothers played by Ji Soo and Ha Seok-Jin.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Oh Ye-Jin (Lim Soo-Hyang) is a ceramic artist. She dreams of finding ordinary happiness, but life throws her a twist when she falls in love with brothers Seo Hwan (Ji Soo) and Seo Jin (Ha Seok-Jin).

Seo Hwan is an architectural designer. He falls in love with Oh Ye-Jin at first sight, but his feelings puts him up against his older brother Seo Jin. Older brother Seo Jin is a race car driver. He became attracted to Oh Ye-Jin after he met her for the first time at his father’s workshop. Meanwhile, Carry Jung (Hwang Seung-Un) is Seo Jin’s ex-girlfriend. Even though they broke up, she can’t get over him.

The drama series will Lim Soo-Hyang playing heiress Mo Seok-Hee and Lee Jang-Woo playing small-time attorney Heo Yoon-Do. They work together to reveal the truth behind the death of Mo Seok-Hee’s mother. Bae Jong-Ok will play Han Je-Kook. She works for the company which Mo Seok-Hee’s family controls.

Lee Young-Ae to make cameo appearance in JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”

Actress Lee Young-Ae is set to make a cameo appearance in upcoming JTBC drama series “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.” For her cameo appearance, Lee Young-Ae will play a character who graduated from the same university that main character Kang Mi-Rae (Lim Soo-Hyang) attends. Lee Young-Ae’s cameo will occur in episode 1 which airs Friday, July 27, 2018. This is Lee Young-Ae’s first ever cameo appearance in a drama series.
