Arata Furuta & Eiko Koike cast in TV Tokyo drama series “Shimokitazawa Die Hard”

Arata Furuta & Eiko Koike are cast in new TV Tokyo drama series “Shimokitazawa Die Hard.” The drama series will feature 11 different episodes written by 11 different screenwriters and consisting of different cast members, but have Arata Furuta & Eiko Koike appearing throughout the series. In the drama series, Eiko Koike will play a snack bar owner in the Tokyo neighborhood of Shimokitazawa. Arata Furuta will play a regular customer at the snack bar. These two will tell 11 stories about the worst day in the lives of people in the Shimokitazawa area.

“Shimokitazawa Die Hard” first airs July, 2017 in Japan.

Toma Ikuta, Eita & Tsubasa Honda cast in movie “The Mole Song 2”

Toma Ikuta, Eita & Tsubasa Honda are cast in sequel film “The Mole Song 2” (placeholder title). Movie is directed by Takashi Miike & screenplay by Kankuro Kudo – they previously worked together with Tom Ikuta in the original 2014 film “The Mole Song: Undercover Agent Reiji.” Also cast in the film are Arata Furuta, Nanao, Riisa Naka, Yusuke Kamiji, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Kenichi Endo, Sarutoki Minagawa, Koichi Iwaki and Shinichi Tsutsumi.

Eita, Tsubasa Honda, Arata Furuta and Nanao are new cast members who did not appear in the first film. Story for the sequel film will be set in Hong Kong and has Reiji Kikukawa (Toma Ikuta) going undercover to tackle the Chinese mafia. Eita will play Shinya Kabuto. His character is the newly appoint chief of the organized crime division and he goes after Reiji Kikukawa. Tsubasa Honda will play Karen Todoroki. Her character is the daughter of the crime boss for the Sukiyaki gang. Arata Furuta will play yakuza Momoji Sakuraba. Actress Nanao will play Fufon. Her character is a Chinese assassin for hire.

“The Mole Song 2” will be released December 23, 2016 in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “Godzilla Resurgence”

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Godzilla Resurgence” starring Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi & Satomi Ishihara. Movie is directed by Shinji Higuchi (“Attack on Titan“). The film has also announced 325 more cast members with notable performers like Kengo Kora, Ren Osugi, Akira Emoto, Mikako Ichikawa, Kimiko Yo, Jun Kunimura, Pierre Taki, Takumi Saito, Arata Furuta, Atsuko Maeda, Takahiro Miura, Shinya Tsukamoto & Suzuki Matsuo all set to appear in the film. The main trailer also displays Godzilla’s full body for the first time.

“Godzilla Resurgence” stomps its way to the Japanese box-office beginning July 29, 2016.

Main trailer for live-action film “Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie”

Main trailer added for live-action film “Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie” starring Shun Oguri, Kou Shibasaki, Osamu Mukai, Takayuki Yamada, Taisuke Fujigaya, Kiko Mizuhara, Gaku Hamada, Arata Furuta & Masahiro Takashima. Movie is based on manga series “Nobunaga Kontseruto” by Ayumi Ishii and directed by Hiroaki Matsuyama (“Liar Game“).

“Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie” will be released January 23, 2016 in Japan.
