Supporting cast added for upcoming live-action film “March Comes in Like a Lion” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki. Now cast in supporting roles are Kuranosuke Sasaki, Hideaki Ito, Ryo Kase, Kana Kurashina, Kaya Kiyohara, Chise Niitsu, Gin Maeda, Kasumi Arimura and Etsushi Toyokawa. Movie is based on manga series “San gatsu no Lion” by Chica Umino.
In the upcoming film, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Hideaki Ito and Ryo Kase will play shogi players. Kana Kurashina, Kaya Kiyohara and Chise Niitsu will play the three sisters of the Kawamoto family. Kasumi Arimura will play Kyoko Koda. Her character is a non blood related sister of Rei (Ryunosuke Kamiki). Etsushi Toyokawa will play Sachika Koda. He is the father of Kyoko Koda and friend of Rei’s late father. He also taught Rei shogi.
“March Comes in Like a Lion” will be released sometime during spring, 2017 and its sequel “March Comes in Like a Lion 2” will also be released spring, 2017 in Japan.

“Operation Chromite” is now set for release July 27, 2016 in South Korea.
Renji Ishibashi is cast in upcoming live-action film “Higanjima: Vampire Island” starring Shunya Shiraishi, Ryohei Suzuki and Minami Sakurai. In the live-action film, Renji Ishibashi will voice the character of Ryunosuke Aoyama. His character is also known as Shisho and is the leader of the resistance group of vampires.
In addition, a second teaser trailer can be viewed at AsianWiki that shows Renji Ishibashi as Shunya Shiraishi. “Higanjima: Vampire Island” will be released October 15, 2016 in Japan.
Lee Hee-Joon is cast in a supporting role for upcoming SBS drama series “The Legend of The Blue Sea” starring Gianna Jun and Lee Min-Ho. In the upcoming drama series, Lee Hee-Joon will play Jo Nam-Doo. His character is a swindler. Also, today the character name for Lee Min-Ho has been revealed and he will play Heo Joon-Jae. Jo Nam-Doo leads Heo Joon-Jae into the swindler’s world.
“The Legend of The Blue Sea” first airs November, 2016 in South Korea.

Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “The Map Maker” starring Cha Seung-Won & Yu Jun-Sang. Movie is directed by Kang Woo-Suk (“Moss“) and based on 2009 novel “Gosanja” by Park Bum-Shin. Movie (set in the 19th century) tells the story of Kim Jeong-Ho as he walks across the country to create the Daedong Yeojido (“The Great Map of the East Land”).
“The Map Maker” will be released sometime this September in South Korea.
Teaser poster for upcoming movie “The Tunnel” starring Ha Jung-Woo & Bae Doo-Na. The teaser poster states in quotations at the top “I am still alive …” Premise for the film has Ha Jung-Woo playing a man who is driving a car through a tunnel when the tunnel suddenly collapses.
“The Tunnel” will be released sometime this August in South Korea.
Ma Dong-Seok & Kim Young-Kwang are cast in new movie “Wonderful Life.” In the film which is setup as a fantasy-human drama, Ma Dong-Seok plays a widower living with his daughter. He ends up helping a police officer played by Kim Young-Kwang. Movie is directed by Jo Won-Hee (“Enemy at the Dead End“).
Filming for “Wonderful Life” begins sometime later this year and the movie will be released next year in South Korea.
