Oh Yeon-Seo cast in movie “Cheese in the Trap”

Oh Yeon-Seo is cast for the lead female role in upcoming movie “Cheese in the Trap” co-starring Park Hae-Jin. Movie is based on popular webcomic “Cheese in the Trap” by Soon Ggi which was previously adapted in 2016 tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.”  For the movie version, Oh Yeon-Seo will play Hong Seol. Initially, the movie planned on selecting the lead actress through auditions, but after an unsatisfactory initial round the auditions were cancelled.

The director for “Cheese in the Trap” will be decided by September, 2016 and filming will begin February, 2017.

Here’s 12 character posters for upcoming movie “Sanada Ten Braves.” The character posters are of Kankuro Nakamura, Tori Matsuzaka, Yuko Oshima, Kento Nagayama, Kazuki Kato, Mitsuomi Takahashi, Taro Suruga, Ryouta Murai, Atsushi Arai, Ayumu Mochizuki, Ken Aoki and Masaya Kato. Movie “Sanada Ten Braves” revolves around a group of ninja and is based on the stage play “Sanada Juyushi” by Nozomi Makino.

Ryoo Seung-Ryong & Shim Eun-Kyung cast in movie “Psychokinesis”

Ryoo Seung-Ryong & Shim Eun-Kyung are cast in new movie “Psychokinesis” (literal title). The film is slated to become the second live-action film directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. His first live-action film “Train To Busan” was released earlier this summer and the movie has already become the highest grossing film in South Korea this year (over 11 million admissions so far).

For movie “Psychokinesis,” Ryoo Seung-Ryong will play a father who gains supernatural powers. His daughter, played by Shim Eun-Kyung, becomes involved in an accident and the father attempts save her life.

Filming for “Psychokinesis” will begin in 2017.

Main trailer for movie “Birthday Card”

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Birthday Card” starring Ai Hashimoto & Aoi Miyazaki. Movie is written and directed by Yasuhiro Yoshida (“Enoshima Prism“).

Story for “Birthday Card” revolves around Noriko (Ai Hashimoto) who is set to marry. She receives birthday cards from her mother (Aoi Miyazaki) annually. Her mother actually passed away when she was young, but she penned the birthday cards before her death and to be mailed to her daughter annually.

“Birthday Card” will be released October 22, 2016 in Japan.

Yuji Oda & Tao Tsuchiya cast in TBS drama series “IQ246”

Yuji Oda & Tao Tsuchiya are cast in new TBS drama series “IQ246.” Also cast in supporting roles are Dean Fujioka & Miki Nakatani.

In the drama series “IQ246,” Yuji Oda plays Sharaku Homonji. He is the eldest son from the Homonji family. The family is well known for studying crime for generations. The eldest son from the Homonji family has traditionally held an IQ of 246 and Sharaku Homonji possess an IQ of 246. Tao Tsuchiya plays Soko Wato. Her character is assigned to the investigation section #1 team, but rather than investigating cases she is tasked with escorting Sharaku Homonji.

“IQ246” first airs this October in Japan.

Yoo In-Na offered major supporting character role in tvN drama series “Goblin”

Actress Yoo In-Na has been offered a major supporting character role in upcoming tvN drama series “Goblin” starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go-Eun & Lee Dong-Wook. Yoo In-Na is currently “positively considering” the offer. If she accepts, “Goblin” will be her first Kim Eun-Sook scripted drama series since 2010 SBS drama series “Secret Garden.” Yoo In-Na’s potential role in the drama series is that of Kim Sun. Her character is scripted as being poor, but possessing a bright face.

First script reading for “Goblin” takes place next week and filming for the drama series begins mid-September, 2016 in Canada.
