Teaser trailer & poster added for upcoming movie “Confession of Murder” starring Tatsuya Fujiwara & Hideaki Ito. Movie is a remake of 2012 South Korean film “Confession of Murder” which stars Park Si-Hoo & Jung Jae-Young in the lead roles. Story for the film takes place 22 years after a series of murders. A man played by Tatsuya Fujiwara then publishes a sensational memoir claiming to be serial killer.
“Confession of Murder” is now set for release June 10, 2017 in Japan.
Lee Bo-Young has been offered the lead role in upcoming tvN drama series “Mother” and she is currently “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is a remake of 2010 NTV drama series “Mother” which starred Yasuko Matsuyuki in the lead role.
For the tvN version, screenplay adaptation will be written by Jung Seo-Kyoung. She has worked with Park Chan-Wook in such dark films as “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,” “Thirst” and “The Handmaid.” Story for the drama series revolves around a substitute teacher and a young student who bears bruises from abuse at her home.
“Mother” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
Yoon So-Hee cast in 3 episode MBC drama series “Queen of Ring” co-starring Ahn Hyo-Seop. The drama series revolves around a gold ring that holds a family secret.

Minami Hamabe is cast in live-action TBS drama series “Saki” and live-action film version “Saki.” Both versions are based on manga series “Saki” by Ritz Kobayashi and will be directed by Yuichi Onuma. In the drama series and movie, Minami Hamabe will play main character Saki Miyanaga. Her character is a high school student. Saki Miyanaga and other students become fascinated by the game of mahjong. They target an upcoming national mahjong competition.
Drama series “Saki” will air on TBS and MBS this December and the movie version will open February, 2017 in Japan.
Yoon Doo-Joon (‘B2ST’) has been offered the lead male role in upcoming tvN drama series “Introverted Boss” (literal title). If he accepts, Yoon Doo-Joon will play Lee Hwan-Gi. He works as the CEO of public relations company Silent Monster, but suffers from extreme shyness. Currently, Yoon Doo-Joon “positively considering” the offer.
“Introverted Boss” will air January, 2017 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 11PM time slot after “Rude Miss Young-Ae Season 15“).
Teaser poster for movie “Life Risking Romance” starring Ha Ji-Won, Chun Jung-Myung & Chen Bolin. Movie is setup as a romantic-comedy with Ha Ji-Won playing a mystery novel writer. She chases after a serial killer with her friend played by Chun Jung-Myung. Chen Bolin plays a mysterious character who appears in their pursuit. Movie is the first feature film directed by Song Min-Gyu (producer & screenwriter for war film “My Way“).

Toma Ikuta & Suzu Hirose are cast in new live-action film “Sensei!” The film is based on manga series “Sensei!” by Kazune Kawahara and directed by Takahiro Miki. The story for the film follows Toma Ikuta as world history high school teacher Kosaku Ito and Suzu Hirose as high school student Hibiki Shimada. The student has a crush on the teacher.
“Sensei!” will be released sometime next autumn in Japan.
Main trailer for upcoming movie “Wet Woman in the Wind” starring Tasuku Nagaoka & Yuki Mamiya. Movie is written and directed by Akihiko Shiota (“Harmful Insect“). The film is also the second Nikkatsu release in their 5 part “Roman Porno Reboot Project” to mark the 45th anniversary of their Roman Porno pink films. The quirky sex-comedy film follows a former Tokyo playwright (Tasuku Nagaoka) who attempts to live a quiet life in a rural mountain area. He then meets a spunky woman (Yuki Mamiya) who just won’t take no for an answer.

Tori Matsuzaka is set to voice new God of Death character Bepo in upcoming live-action film “Death Note: Light Up The New World” starring Masahiro Higashide, Sosuke Ikematsu & Masaki Suda. In “Death Note: Light Up The New World,” Bepo confronts Private Investigator Ryuzaki played by Sosuke Ikematsu.

2nd teaser trailer added for upcoming SBS drama series “The Legend of the Blue Sea” starring Gianna Jun & Lee Min-Ho. The 2nd teaser trailer features over a minute of actual footage from the drama series and it certainly provides hints on where the story goes. In the drama series, Gianna Jun plays the last mermaid on the planet and Lee Min-Ho plays a dashing modern day swindler.
