Teaser trailer for live-action film “ReLIFE” starring Taishi Nakagawa & Yuna Taira. Movie is based on manga series “ReLIFE” by So Yayoi and directed by Takeshi Furusawa (“Love for Beginners“). Movie follows a 27-year-old man who takes part in research program and takes on the appearance of a high school student.
“ReLIFE” will be released April 15, 2017 in Japan.
Seo Kang-Joon has been offered the lead role in new drama series “Seen from a Distance, Green Spring” (literal title). Currently, Seo Kang-Joon is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is based on webtoon “Meolriseo Bomyun Pooreun Bom” by Ji Nyoong.
If Seo Kang-Joon accepts the offer, he will play Yeo Joon. He is a third year university student. Even though he is attractive and comes from a wealthy background, he carries emotional pain with him. The drama series is in discussion to air on one of the three Korean major broadcasting stations, but has not been finalized.
Lee Hyun-Woo is cast in new tvN drama series “The Liar and His Lover.” The drama series is based on manga “Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru” by Kotomi Aoki, which has been previously adapted into 2013 live-action film “The Liar and His Lover” starring Takeru Satoh & Sakurako Ohara in the lead roles. In the tvN drama series version, Lee Hyun-Woo will play lead male character Kang Han-Kyeol. He is a genius level music composer, but hides his identity from others. He meets a female high school student with a great voice.
“The Liar and His Lover” will first air March, 2017 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s 11PM time slot after “Introverted Boss“).
Shun Oguri & Hidetoshi Nishijima are cast in new Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Crisis.” The drama series is scripted by Kazuki Kaneshiro (“SP”) and directed by Kosuke Suzuki & Keiichiro Shiraki. The drama series has Shun Oguri and Hidetoshi Nishijima playing members of a secret Special investigation Team at the National Police Agency. They take on cases involving important political matters and dirty jobs for the government.
“Crisis” will first air this April in Japan.

Movie is based on novel “Utsukushii Hoshi” by Yukio Mishima and directed by Daihachi Yoshida. The unusual premise for the film follows a family who believes they are from outer space and attempt to save the world from nuclear destruction.

In addition, Tomorowo Taguchi, Tae Kimura, Kayoko Okubo and Masahiro Toda have been announced as supporting cast actors for the upcoming film. Tomorowo Taguchi will play Asakusa. He is Michiru’s (Shiori Kutsuna) senior editor. Tae Kimura will play Yoko. She is a pet shop owner. Kayoko Okubo will play a real estate agent.
“Neko Atsume no Ie” will be released April 8, 2017 in Japan.

Dean Fujioka is cast in new movie “Kekkon” (literally “Marriage”). The film is based on 2012 novel by “Kekkon” by Areno Inoue. In the upcoming movie. Dean Fujioka will play main character Kenji Urumi. He uses his good looks to seduce woman and swindle them out of their money through marriage. He works with Ruriko Sengoku (Shuko).
“Kekkon” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.
