Upcoming tvN drama series “Secret Forest,” starring Cho Seung-Woo & Bae Doo-Na, is now slotted to air June, 2017 in South Korea. The drama series will be broadcast on Fridays and Saturdays at 10PM taking over the time slot after the conclusion of “Chicago Typewriter.” Filming for “Secret Forest” began January, 2017 and is still ongoing. Production is expected to finish before the drama series airs in June.
Masami Nagasawa and Issei Takahashi are cast in new movie “Uso wo Aisuru Onna.” Kotaro Yoshida is also cast in a supporting role. Movie is directed by first timer Kazuhito Nakae. Premise for “Uso wo Aisuru Onna” follows Yukari Kawahara played by Masami Nagasawa. She lives with her boyfriend Kippei Koide played by Issei Takahashi. Her boyfriend is a doctor, but he suffers a brain hemorrhage. Yukari Kawahara then learns everything she knew about her boyfriend was a lie.
“Uso wo Aisuru Onna” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Wakana Aoi is cast for the lead female role in live-action film “The Time of Backlights,” co-starring Mahiro Takasugi. Wakana Aoi will play the character of Mikoto. She is a childhood friend of Takatoyo Akada (Mahiro Takasugi) and he holds feelings for her. “The Time of Backlights” is based on manga series “Gyakko no Koro” by Katsuki Tanaka.
“The Time of Backlights” will be released early summer, 2017 in Japan.

Nam Ji-Hyun is now cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Suspicious Partner” (literal title) co-starring Ji Chang-Wook. In addition, the title of drama series has been set to “Suspicious Partner” (“Soosanghan Pateuneo”) from “Suspicious Romance” (“Soosanghan Romaenseu”) and “Watch Out For This Woman” (“Yi Yeojareul Joshimhaseyo”). Nam Ji-Hyun and Ji Chang-Wook previously worked together in 2011 SBS drama series “Warrior Baek Dong Soo” with Ji Chang-Wook in the starring role and Nam Ji-Hyun portraying the younger version of second lead female character Yoo Ji-Sun.

Nam Ji-Hyun has been offered the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “Suspicious Romance” starring Ji Chang-Wook. The drama series previously went under the early working title of “Yi Yeojareul Joshimhaseyo” (“Watch Out For This Woman”). Also, Lee Sung-Kyung and Han Ji-Min previously received offers to play the lead female character, but, ultimately, could not come to an agreement.
Yeo Jin-Goo is cast in upcoming movie “1987” (Korean title) starring Kim Yun-Seok, Ha Jung-Woo, Gang Dong-Won & Kim Tae-Ri. The film reunites Yeo Jin-Goo, Kim Yun-Seok and director Jang Joon-Hwan. The trio previously worked together in 2013 film “Hwayi: A Monster Boy.”
