Lee Dong-Gun has been offered a major supporting character role in KBS2 drama series “Seven Day Queen” starring Yeon Woo-Jin & Park Min-Young.
Mario Kuroba and Rika Adachi are cast in live-action film “The Diary About Ayame’s Easygoing and Aggressive Days.” The live-action film is based on manga series “Ayame-kun no Nonbiri Nikushoku Nisshi” by Mai Machi and directed by Hiroki Shibasaki. The film is setup as a romance between a young man who grew up England, but now back in Japan and a woman who is a dinosaur otaku.
“The Diary About Ayame’s Easygoing and Aggressive Days” will be released October 7, 2017 in Japan.
First script reading for upcoming MBC drama series “Bad Thief, Good Thief,” starring Ji Hyun-Woo & Seohyun, took place March 27, 2017 at MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, South Korea. Main cast members including Ji Hyun-Woo, Seohyun, Kim Ji-Hoon & Lim Ju-Eun attended the script reading.
“Bad Thief, Good Thief” first airs May, 2017 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10PM time slot after “Father, I’ll Take Care of You.”
Song Kang-Ho is cast in new Bong Joon-Ho directed film “Parasite” (literal title). This is the fourth time that Song Kang-Ho will appear in a Bong Joon-Ho directed film. Movie will revolve around a family going through a disturbance.
“Parasite” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
Ha Ji-Won has been offered the lead female role in upcoming MBC drama series “Hospital Ship” (literal title). If Ha Ji-Won accepts, she will play surgeon Song Eun-Jae. The drama series will revolve around doctors who go around visiting island residents via a hospital ship.
“Hospital Ship” is tentatively scheduled to first air July, 2017 in South Korea.
Jung Woo-Sung has been offered a role in upcoming movie “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” starring Gang Dong-Won. The film will be directed by Kim Jee-Woon and is based on the 1999 anime film of same name by Mamoru Oshii. If Jung Woo-Sung accepts, he will play major supporting character Jang Jin-Tae. The character heads a training camp.
Filming for “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” is expected to start sometime during the second half of this year.
Yo Yoshida is cast for the lead role in upcoming movie “Love × Doc.” Also cast in the film are Shuhei Nomura, Atsushi Shinohara, Kotaro Yoshida and Hiroshi Tamaki. The movie also marks the directorial debut for screenwriter Osamu Suzuki. In movie “Love × Doc,” Yo Yoshida plays pastry chef Asuka Goda. A younger pastry chef played by Shuhei Nomura confesses his feelings for her. This brings back bad memories when she was involved with two men about 5 years earlier. She decides to go to “Clinic Love Doc” for help.
“Love × Doc” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Filming for upcoming movie “I Can Speak,” starring Lee Je-Hoon and Na Moon-Hee began March 29, 2017 in South Korea. Photos posted here were taken at the gosa ceremony which took place March 27, 2017.The traditional gosa ceremony takes place to bring about good fortune for the production.

Aoi Morikawa, Takumi Kitamura and Kanta Sato are cast in live-action film “Love and Lies.” Movie is based on manga “Koi to Uso” by Musawo and directed by Takeshi Furusawa. Setup for the film has the Japanese implementing a program to increase the birth rate in the country. They take information from genes and select people to marry. Aoi Nisaka (Aoi Morikawa) is selected to marry Sosuke Takachiho (Kanta Sato), but she also has feelings for her longtime friend Yuto Shiba (Takumi Kitamura).
“Love and Lies” opens autumn, 2017 in Japan.
