Hiroe Igeta cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi drama “Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san”

Hiroe Igeta is cast in TV Tokyo-Paravi drama series “Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san.” The live-action drama series is based on manga “Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san” by Sisi. Hiroe Igeta will play main character Momono Shirakawa in the drama series. She works in the sales department of a company and helps other employees with her positive outlook.

“Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san” will stream on Paravi from March 30, 2022 and air from April 6, 2022 on TV Tokyo.

Trailer and poster added for Apple TV+ drama series “Pachinko” starring Youn Yuh-Jung & Lee Min-Ho. The drama series is based on 2017 novel “Pachinko” by Lee Min-Jin. The trailer begins with Kim Sun-Ja’s (Youn Yuh-Jung) story in the early 1900’s of South Korea and connects to her grandson Baek Solomon’s (Jin Ha) story in the 1980’s.

Trailer & characters posters for movie “Love Like the Falling Petals”

Trailer and two characters posters added for Netflix movie “Love Like the Falling Petals” starring Kento Nakajima and Honoka Matsumoto. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Sakura no Yona Boku no Koibito” by Keisuke Uyama and directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa (“Restaurant From The Sky“). Meanwhile, the movie’s theme song has been revealed as “Eien” by rock band Mr. Children. Theme song “Eien” also plays in the main trailer.

“Love Like the Falling Petals” will be available to stream on Netflix from March 24, 2022.

First script reading for tvN drama “The Killer’s Shopping List”

First script reading for tvN drama series “The Killer’s Shopping List,” starring Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, & Jin Hee-Kyung, took place November, 2021 in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea. The first script reading included Director Lee Eon-Hee, Screenwriter Han Ji-Wan, and main cast members including Lee Kwang-Soo, Seol Hyun, Jin Hee-Kyung, Shin Sung-Woo, Jang Won-Young, Kim Mi-Hwa, Bae Myung-Jin, and Oh Hye-Won. Right after the first script reading ended, Lee Kwang-Soo stated “It’s a new drama series that I haven’t seen before, so I’m personally looking forward to it” and Seol Hyun stated “I’m excited and will have fun filming. We actors and actresses are having good chemistry, atmosphere and energy. I hope these things are conveyed well through the drama series.” Director Lee Eon has up to this point directed such popular films as (2003) “…ing,” (2007) “Love Exposure,” (2016) “Missing,” and (2018) “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action.”

“The Killer’s Shopping List” is now set to first air April, 2022 in South Korea.

Sadao Abe cast in movie “I Am Makimoto”

Sadao Abe is cast in movie “I Am Makimoto.” The film is remake of 2013 British-Italian film “Still Life” and the remake will be directed by Nobuo Mizuta. Actor Sadao Abe and Director Nobuo Mizuta previously worked together in movies “Maiko haaaan!!!” and “No More Cry!!!” For “I Am Makimoto,” Sadao Abe will play So Makimoto. He works in a department at city hall that is responsible for taking care of funeral rites for deceased individuals without family members.

“I Am Makimoto” will be released September, 2022 in Japan.

Yo Oizumi, Kasumi Arimura, Ren Meguro & Kou Shibasaki cast in movie “Tsuki no Michikake”

Yo OizumiKasumi ArimuraRen Meguro (‘Snow Man’) and Kou Shibasaki are cast in movie “Tsuki no Michikake.” The film is based on 2017 novel “Tsuki no Michikake” by Shogo Sato (“Every Trick In The Book“) and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki (“Yellow Elephant“). The film will have Yo Oizumi play Kei Osanai. He is a widower, who lost his wife and daughter in an accident. He is connected with other unrelated people due to fate.

Filming for “Tsuki no Michikake” took place from November to December, 2021 and the movie will be released sometime during winter, 2022.
