Teaser poster and release date for Netflix film “Stolen Identity”

Teaser poster and release date added for Netflix distributed film “Stolen Identity” starring Chun Woo-Hee & Im Si-Wan. Movie is based on 2017 novel “Sumaho o Otoshita dake ” by Akira Shiga, which was previously adapted into 2018 movie “Stolen Identity” starring Keiko Kitagawa and Yudai Chiba. Caption on the just released teaser poster states “Someone is pretending to be you with your smart phone.” Filming for “Stolen Identity” took place from March 21st to June 27th, 2021 and was originally scheduled to be released in theaters, but a decision was later made to release the film on Netflix.

“Stolen Identity” will be available to stream from February 17, 2023.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Na-Mi (Chun Woo-Hee) works as a marketer at a start-up company. She is an ordinary office worker who works hard everyday. On a fateful day, Na-Mi loses her smartphone, but she luckily gets her phone back. Since that time, her ordinary peaceful day are threatened. Joon-Young (Im Si-Wan) happens to pick up Na-Mi’s smartphone. Joon-Young, who approaches Na-Mi by using her smartphone, commits crimes using smartphones.

Meanwhile, Detective Ji-Man (Kim Hee-Won) investigates a murder case involving a dead body that was found on a remote mountain. There, he finds clues that points to his son Joon-Young as the possible perpetrator.
