Ryeo Un, Choi Hyun-Wook, Seol In-A, & Shin Eun-Soo are cast in tvN drama series “Sparkling Watermelon” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Son Jung-Hyun (“Mental Coach Jegal“) and scripted by Jin Soo-Wan (“Chicago Typewriter“). The screenplay will have the four leads play members of music band called Sparkling Watermelon.
“Sparkling Watermelon” will first air sometime in the second half of this year.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: High school student Eun-Gyeol (Ryeo Un) has hearing-impaired parents, but he has a gift for music. He is a model student by day and plays the guitar in a band at night. One day, he visits a mysterious musical instruments store and travels to a strange place. There, Eun-Gyeol meets Yi-Chan (Choi Hyun-Wook), Se-Kyung (Seol In-A) and Cheong-A (Shin Eun-Soo). They form a band called Watermelon Sugar. Meanwhile, Yi-Chan has a crush on Se-Kyung, who is known as the Cello Goddess of Seowon Arts High School, and tries to win her heart. Cheong-A is hearing-impaired. She is cold and aloof to others.
