Kim Rae-Won & Park Hoon are cast in SBS drama series “Full Count.” The drama series will be the first baseball themed series shown on SBS since “Hot Stove League” in 2019. Story for “Full Count,” will depict a power struggle between two coaches who want to become the permanent manager for their baseball team Stars. Kim Rae-Won will play Hwang Jin-Ho. He was a backup catcher during his playing career and now works as the Stars batting coach. Park Hoon will play Jo Dong-Hee. He was a heralded pitcher for the Stars and now is a pitching coach for them team.
“Full Count” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Hwang Jin-Ho (Kim Rae-Won) used to be a catcher, who spent most of his playing career as a backup. He now works as a batting coach for the popular baseball club Stars. Even though he is well regarded as a coach, he has been an outsider within the club’s exclusive atmosphere. He takes the acting manager position for the Stars while they are on the brink of elimination from the playoffs. The job is seen like a poisoned chalice.
Meanwhile, Jo Dong-Hee (Park Hoon) used to be a legendary pitcher for the Stars and he is now a pitching coach for the team. Despite his brilliant career as a pitcher, he is haunted by never winning a championship during his playing career. As a coach, he aims to lead the Stars to a championship. He also wants to become the manager for the Stars.
Hwang Jin-Ho and Jo Dong-Hee fight fiercely for the team on the baseball field and an intense power struggle takes place in the dugout and clubhouse.
