Trailer and poster added for movie “Onmyoji Zero” starring Kento Yamazaki, Shota Sometani, and Nao. Movie features an original story that is based off of the novel series “Onmyoji” by Baku Yumemakura. The theme song has also been revealed as “Kaikou’” by rock band Bump of Chicken. “Kaikou” is played during the trailer.
“Onmyoji Zero” will be released April 19, 2024 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in the Heian period, Seimei Abe (Kento Yamazaki) is a young student at Onmyoryo. The school raises students to become an onmyoji, who protect the city from curses and evil spirts. Seimei Abe is well known as a genius in the field of magic. Unlike his fellow students, who all aspire to become an onmyoji, Seimei Abe doesn’t any interest in becoming an onmyoji. One day, he is asked by Noble Hiromasa Minamoto (Shota Sometani) to solve a strange phenomenon that hits royal family member Yoshiko (Nao). Seimei Abe and Hiromasa Minamoto work together to unravel the strange phenomenon.
