Teaser trailer and poster added for live-action film “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” starring Riko Fukumoto & Jesse Lewis. Movie is based on manga series “Ojo to Banken-kun” by Hatsuharu and directed by Keiichi Kobayashi (“About the Pink Sky“). The teaser trailer begins with Riko Fukumoto as Isaku Senagaki, who is the granddaughter of a yakuza boss, stating “When I become a high school student, I want to have a normal life. Being in love normally!”
“A Girl & Her Guard Dog” will be released March 14, 2025 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Isaku Senagaki (Riko Fukumoto) lost her parents when she was a child. Afterwards, her grandfather took her in and raised her, but her grandfather wasn’t a normal grandfather. He is the boss of a powerful yakuza gang. This caused major problems for Isaku Senagaki to have any kind of normalcy in her life. She didn’t have friends at school and she experienced severe trauma because of this. Isaku Senagaki now starts high school and she is determined to have a normal high school student life. She hides her identity as the granddaughter of a yakuza boss and tries to make friends and find a boyfriend. Meanwhile, Keiya Uto (Jesse Lewis) is a 26 year old man who works for Isaku Senagaki’s grandfather. He hides his real age and enrolls at the same high school that Isaku Senagaki attends. He is very protective of her at school and acts like her bodyguard. Isaku Senagaki panics over Keiya Uto appearance at her high school. She struggles to hide her real identity and the identity of Keiya Uto.
