Suzu Hirose and Tori Matsuzaka are cast for lead roles in movie “The Wandering Moon” (literal title). The movie is directed by Sang-il Lee (“Villain“) and based on 2019 novel on novel “Rurou no Tsuki” by Yuu Nagira. Filming for the movie begins early August, 2021.
“The Wandering Moon” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: On a rainy evening, 19-year-old university student Fumi Saeki happens to meet 9-year-old Sarasa Kanai in the park. Sarasa Kanai is soaking wet. She is separated from her parents and lives with her aunt, but she tells Fumi Saeki that she doesn’t want to go back to her aunt. Fumi Saeki takes Sarasa Kanai to his apartment and they live together for the next 2 months. Fumi Saeki is then arrested for kidnapping. He is labeled as a dangerous kidnapper and Sarasa Kanai is labeled as a poor victim. 15 years later, Sarasa Kanai (Suzu Hirose) and Fumi Saeki (Tori Matsuzaka) happen to meet each other.
